    Licensed Engineer Cat A and C

    KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

    • Certifying staff report to the HOBM administratively but functionally responsible to the Hangar Supervisor and Workshop Supervisors and their principal duties are as follows:
    • Carry out and certify maintenance and repair on aircraft, aircraft components and engines and;
    • Satisfying safety standards and business needs at optimized cost for PAL and third-party operators.
    • Check that required tools and equipment are available and in good condition.
    • Determine and request spare parts and materials for tasks.
    • Verify that all manuals/data being used are current.
    • Develop technicians for increased efficiency.
    • Control usage of material and resources for optimized cost.
    • Record accurately all maintenance actions including man-hours in accordance with the KCAA requirements and PAL engineering procedures. Ensure all documentation is in place and signed before issuing a Certificate of Release to service.
    • Inform their respective Managers on all maintenance progress.
    • Be conversant with the requirements of Maintenance Procedures Manual, CARS, approved Schedules, Manufacturers Manual, and Airworthiness Notices

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Licensed AME in CAT A and C (B1.1/B1.2)
    • Have a minimum of 5yrs experience i releasing aircrafts back into service in an approved maintenance organization
    • Hold valid type trainings on Cessna 150, 172, 182 and 206 and associated engines. Trainings on PT6A, King-air and Caravan 208 series will be of added advantage.
    • Applicants must demonstrate computer literacy to qualify for this position.

    Quality Control Engineer

    KEY RESPOSIBILITIES

    • Supervise technicians/mechanics to ensure proper procedures are followed according to the Maintenance Manual and other authoritative documents.
    • Determine and ensure the availability of necessary spares, tooling, and equipment before work begins.
    • Maintain discipline and motivation among personnel, encouraging constructive proposals.
    • Ensure equipment and tools are in a serviceable state. •Assign various tasks to personnel when no scheduled work is available. Maintain high standards of documentation and address defects effi- ciently, ensuring all required paperwork is signed before aircraft release. Stay updated with MPM, CARS, Maintenance Programs, Manufacturers Manuals, and continued airworthiness information such as ADs and SBs.
    • Ensure adequate and properly distributed firefighting equipment in the hangar.
    • Take preventive and corrective actions for deficiencies found during audits and reported incidents.
    • Inspect and tag ground support equipment and tooling, maintaining inspection records for inventory control.
    • Conduct final quality assurance inspections on major modifications and repairs as required by KCAA before aircraft release.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree/Diploma in aeronautical engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution with over 8 years of work experience.
    • Be holder of either a CAT A and C or a combination any Cat X and R avionics license.
    • Minimum experience of at least 5 years in releasing aircrafts back to service after scheduled maintenance.
    • Must have undergone relevant training in the field of quality management systems and demonstrate ability to develop and revise manuals when required.
    • Valid trainings on Caravan 208 series, King-air series and citation series aircrafts will be of added advantage.
    • Computer literacy is compulsory.
