Job Purpose
Are you a technically capable, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for turning drone data into insights that drive better farm operations?
We are seeking an exceptional Drone Data Analyst to manage, process, analyse, and transform drone-generated data into practical insights that support farm operations, environmental monitoring, mapping, planning, and decision-making across Victory Farms.
You will work closely with the Drone Operations Team to manage drone datasets, process imagery, develop maps and spatial outputs, and create reliable data products that help operational and management teams understand what is happening on the ground and make informed decisions.
This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who can turn complex drone imagery and spatial data into clear, actionable information. As we continue to leverage technology across our operations, you will play a key role in improving data-driven planning, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Drone Data Management
- Manage and organize drone-generated datasets.
- Maintain structured repositories for drone imagery, maps, flight data, and processed outputs.
- Ensure accurate naming, storage, version control, and archiving of datasets.
- Maintain data quality and completeness.
- Coordinate with drone pilots to ensure required datasets are captured correctly.
- Maintain appropriate metadata for drone missions and datasets.
2.Drone Imagery Processing
- Process aerial imagery captured using the Drone Team’s equipment.
- Generate orthomosaics, digital elevation models, point clouds, and other relevant spatial output where required.
- Process multispectral imagery for vegetation and environmental analysis.
- Conduct image quality checks before analysis.
- Support processing and interpretation of drone datasets from different farm sites.
GIS and Spatial Analysis
- Develop and maintain GIS layers and spatial databases.
- Conduct spatial analysis using drone and other geospatial datasets.
- Produce maps for farm planning, monitoring, environmental assessment, and operational decision making.
- Support analysis of pond infrastructure, vegetation, flood risk, drainage, irrigation, and other operational requirements.
- Integrate drone data with existing GIS and operational datasets.
Data Analysis and Visualization
- Analyse drone datasets to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights.
- Conduct vegetation and multispectral analysis where applicable.
- Prepare charts, maps, dashboards, and visual outputs for internal stakeholders.
- Translate technical drone data into clear and practical information for non-technical users.
- Support development of data-driven solutions for farm operations.
.Data Product and Tool Development
- Design data products and visualizations that improve access to drone information.
- Support development of interactive maps and operational dashboards.
- Assist in developing prototypes that use drone and spatial data to solve operational problems.
- Improve workflows for collecting, processing, analysing, and sharing drone data.
- Work with relevant Technology and Innovation and Data and Analytics teams on data solutions.
Quality Control and Documentation
- Conduct quality assurance on processed drone datasets and analytical outputs.
- Identify errors, gaps, or inconsistencies in datasets.
- Maintain documentation of processing and analysis workflows.
- Develop standard procedures for drone data management and processing.
- Maintain records of completed analyses and deliverables.
Operational Support
- Work closely with drone pilots to define data collection requirements.
- Provide feedback to pilots on imagery and data quality.
- Participate in field activities where data collection or ground verification is required.
- Support farm teams and other departments with relevant drone-derived information.
- Assist the Drone Team Manager in planning data requirements for new projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in GIS / Geospatial Information Science, Surveying, Remote Sensing, Geography, Geomatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related technical discipline. With 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.
Knowledge & Skills required:

- GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
- Understanding of coordinate systems and spatial data.
- Experience working with raster and vector datasets.
- Basic understanding of remote sensing and aerial imagery.
- Experience processing or analysing drone imagery is highly desirable.

We are seeking a motivated Flight Operations Assistant to support the safe, efficient, and well-coordinated execution of drone missions across Victory Farms operations.
You will work closely with drone pilots and the Drone Team Manager to prepare missions, coordinate field activities, handle equipment, maintain accurate flight documentation, and manage operational data, ensuring every mission is properly planned, safely conducted, and completed in line with established SOPs.
This is a hands-on operational role for someone who thrives in the field, pays close attention to detail, and can keep multiple moving parts organized. You will play an important role in ensuring the Drone Operations Team has the equipment, information, documentation, and coordination needed to deliver reliable and effective drone missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Mission Preparation and Field Operations
- Assist drone pilots with daily flight preparation and field setup.
- Acts as secondary spotter and relay operators to the drone pilots.
- Support pre-flight and post-flight checks of drones, batteries, controllers, and accessories.
- Assist with setting up take-off and landing areas.
- Act as a field assistant/visual observer during drone missions where required.
- Support pilots during pond mapping, monitoring, photography, transport, and other approved drone missions.
- Assist in maintaining safe operating areas around drone launch and landing zones.

Data and File Management

Equipment and Maintenance Support
