    Workshop Manager - Mombasa

    Mission Description                      

    • Strategic & Operational Leadership.
    • Develop and implement workshop operational strategy aligned to company objectives.
    • Lead planning and scheduling of all maintenance, repairs, overhauls, and fabrication works.
    • Drive operational efficiency, productivity optimization, and turnaround time improvements.
    • Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for workshop operations.
    • Financial & Commercial Oversight.
    • Control costs relating to labor, spares, consumables, and external contractors.
    • Approve procurement requests for tools, equipment, and spare parts.
    • Monitor asset utilization and lifecycle management.
    • Technical Governance.
    • Ensure adherence to technical standards, manufacturer guidelines, and best practice maintenance frameworks.
    • Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
    • Approve technical solutions for complex repairs and breakdowns.
    • Ensure quality control processes are implemented and documented.
    • People Management & Capability Development.
    • Lead, coach, and supervise workshop supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
    • Conduct performance management, succession planning, and skills development initiatives.
    • Enforce discipline, productivity standards, and accountability structures.
    • Identify training needs and ensure technical upskilling of the team.
    • Health, Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
    • Champion a zero-incident safety culture within the workshop.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
    • Ensure statutory compliance and proper documentation.
    • Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Liaise with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Fleet teams to ensure seamless workflow.
    • Provide technical reports to senior management.
    • Support external audits and regulatory inspections.

    Profile

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
    • Minimum 6–9 years workshop experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of fleet/equipment maintenance systems

    Iffo Supervisor - Shipping Liaison

    Mission Description                      

    • Shipping procedures
    • Tracking Sea Freight shipments (Daily)
    • Shipping line documentation for release to Obtain Delivery Order & online EDI for release of shipment from port or CFS (24Hrs before vessel arrival).
    • Tracking sea Freight Vessel Manifest number for Entry registration for purpose Tax payments / entry pass (48Hrs before vessel arrival).
    • SPOT vessels call creation / vessel events update.
    • Cll amendment procedures follow-up.
    • Dispute management / resolution on Local Import issues / queries / rates with various shipping lines (14 days upon request).
    • Reporting (daily / weekly / monthly)
    • Container Logistics
    • Tracking of Seafreight FCL containers under clearance to manage Turn-around KPIs from time Container discharged from vessel until empty relocation to depot (Daily).
    • Disbursements (Demurrage / Detention costs payments (24Hrs upon invoice receipt), recoveries & refunds management (request refunds 48Hrs upon empty return) and follow-up for reconciliation of shipping line accounts (Weekly).
    • Deconsolidation, Freight-collect, Doc Hand overs
    • Shipments tracking, timely sharing vessel schedule details to client 'agents.
    • Documents handover (72Hrs before vessel arrival), s/line payment approvals & recoveries (24Hrs upon receipt).
    • Overseeing Deconsolidation / Handovers / Break bulk operations: Approval of draft recovery invoices
    • for billing . Reconciliation (weekly)

    Profile

    • Diploma in Clearing & Forwarding
    • 7 years' experience in Clearing and Forwarding
