Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Monitoring education institutions, programmes and projects; generating and compiling education data;
- Monitoring ICT integration in education;
- Promoting education standards, culture and environmental sustainability; and
- Implementing education policies.
Requirements for appointment
For appointment to this grade, an Officer must have:
- Served in the grade of Education Officer or graduate teacher I for a minimum period of three(3) years;
- Bachelor’s degree in education from a recognized institution;
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science with Education from a recognized institution;
OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Science from a recognized institution and a post graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
- Certificate in Computer applications from a recognized institution; and
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Job Description and Job Specification:
Requirements for appointments
- Be a Kenyan Citizen
- Be a holder of at least a certificate in ECDE training from a recognized institution.
- Teaching experience of not less than two (2) years in a pre-school unit.
- Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
Duties and Responsibilities
- The ECDE teacher shall be responsible to the Head teacher of their respective primary schools:-
- Offering teaching services in Early Childhood Development Education.
- Preparation of Schemes of Work and Lesson Plans as per competence based curriculum.
- Maintenance of pupil’s records.
- Advising parents and guardians on pupils’ competences and development.
- Ensure the safety and security of pupils while in school.
- Prompt monthly submission of returns to respective ward supervisors.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Terms of Service: Contract for Three (3) Years, Renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

Duties and Responsibilities
- The Director of Roads is the head of the roads division and is responsible to the Chief Officer, Roads, Transport and Public Works for all activities of the Division comprising Maintenance and research, design and development, and administration and planning. Responsibility involves:
- Direction, control, co-ordination and supervision of the personnel dealing with design and institutions;
- Construction and maintenance of all structural works in Government buildings and other public works (Marine and footbridges), formulation and implementation of policy matters on the welfare of the Structural Department.
- Preparation and implementation of the department’s performance management system and contracts;
- Team building;
- Overseeing the financial and asset management issues of the division;
- Instituting operational accountability;
- Securing and managing financial support for development plans and overall supervision, training and development of division staff.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Served in the grade of Chief Superintending Engineer (Roads) in the Public Service for at least three (3) year;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institution;
- Registered with the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB);
- Current valid annual Practicing license from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya;
- Corporate membership with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK);
- Attended a Strategic Leadership Development Course lasting not less than Six (6) weeks from a recognized Institution;
- Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability required for effective planning, direction, control and coordination of structural and civil engineering development programmes;
- Thorough understanding of National goals, policies and programmes and the ability to translate them to the Roads Engineering functions.
