    Harvest Supervisor

    Harvest Supervisors Vacancy

    Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of a Harvest Supervisors. The role holder will be responsible for the supervision of the field harvesters for Tomatoes and Watermelon at the Taveta farms.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Field supervision of tomato and watermelon harvesters to ensure product is harvested within Twiga Foods specification.
    2. Coordination of the field harvest teams to achieve individual harvesting targets and maintain cost per kg targets.
    3. For all harvesting equipment and record keeping of equipment used and returned to store daily such as crates and weigh scales.
    4. Working closely with the harvest reorders to maintain traceability of product and accuracy of weights per field and per person harvesting.
    5. Training and development of the harvesting teams to maintain and improve operational efficiency.
    6. Working closely with the Tomato Manager and Watermelon Manager on crop forecasting and weekly labor requirements.
    7. Reporting multirole attendance through to HR for the workforce in the Packhouse.
    8. Training and development of the harvesting team for continual improvement.
    9. Retaining good staff working relations and a high standard of Health and Safety

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    1. Form Four level education
    2. A self-motivated individual with good attention to detail, keen on working with others, able to motivate people to perform

    Packhouse Technician

    Packhouse Technician Vacancy

    Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of a Packhouse Technician. The role holder will be responsible for the maintenance of all electrical systems on the Taveta farms.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. For the smooth operation of all Packhouse equipment. For all the grading and soring lines for each crop to be top operational condition.
    2. Providing a preventative maintenance schedule with maximum operational time for the Packhouse supervisors to grade and pack the produce with minimal disruption.
    3. Working closely with the Engineering department in terms of electrical equipment maintenance.
    4. Working closely with the equipment manufacturers to ensure smooth grading and packing operations.
    5. Maintaining a high standard of Health and Safety for everyone in the operational environment of the workshop.

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    1. A diploma in Agricultural Engineering
    2. A minimum of 5 years experience with agricultural packhouse maintenance
    3. A self-motivated individual with good attention to detail
    4. Can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment

    Harvest Recorders

    Harvest Recorders Vacancy

    Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Harvest Recorders. The role holder will be responsible for recording all data from the field harvesters at the Taveta farms.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Measuring accurately each harvesters weighed produce from the field.
    2. Recording of individual harvesters weights delivered from the field.
    3. Collation of daily the harvesting report for the harvest supervisor to report through to the Packhouse for produce delivery and the farm office for bonus related pay for harvesters.
    4. Final Quality control of harvested product and reporting regularly within the day to the harvest supervisor of any challenges found.
    5. Retaining good staff working relations and a high standard of Health and Safety.

    Crop Scout

    Crop Scouts Vacancy

    Twiga Foods Limited is looking for suitably qualified individuals to fill the role of Crop Scouts. The role holder will be responsible for scouting crops for pest/disease levels and providing a visual assessment of irrigation status and crop nutrition at the Taveta farms.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Regularly assessing every hectare grown of each crop for pest and disease presence.
    2. Providing a visual assessment of irrigation status and crop nutrition
    3. Timely reporting of presence or absence of issues within the crop
    4. Supporting the crop protection technician with credible data to compile the weekly crop protection plan.
    5. Providing feedback on efficacy of crop protection products post application.

    Minimum Qualifications And Experience

    1. A degree in Agriculture or associated disciplines
    2. Minimum 2 years in crop production experience
    3. A self-motivated individual with good attention to detail
    4. Can thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, rapidly changing environment
