    Kenya Project Finance for Permanence (PFP) Project Director

    The Director works closely with the Kenya Country Director, the Kenya PFP Team and Steering Committee, the TNC Durable Protection Strategy team and the Africa leadership team to advance progress across all elements of the PFP to ensure that this initiative delivers strong outcomes for biodiversity, climate and people

    Specific Roles And Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the success of the project and delivery of all required plans, funding, and commitments.
    • Oversees the technical work as well as the negotiations on the final agreements that define the all-important closing and disbursement conditions.
    • Obtains go/no-go decisions at key decision points, identifies, and obtains approval for project deliverables from the appropriate staff or teams.
    • Throughout the project life cycle, monitor and measure project progress, conducts corrective action as necessary, communicates project status to major stakeholders, both internal and external.
    • Develops relationships, builds partnerships, and secures stakeholder commitments.
    • Ensures the quality and timely delivery of all workstreams, including leading the project team and overseeing consultants and partner performance.
    • Responsible for risk management, issue resolution, conflict management and collaboratively solves complex problems.

    What You'll Bring

    • BA/BS degree and 10 years’ experience in conservation practice or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline an added advantage.
    • English language communications skills experience, including ability to communicating clearly via written, oral, and graphical forms, and ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
    • Strategic development skills experience.
    • Experience directing a major complex program or project of strategic importance, including management/supervision of multi-disciplinary teams and meeting deadlines.
    • Experience working with current trends and practices in relevant discipline(s) (e.g., biodiversity, climate
    • mitigation, community development) and in Africa.
    • Supervisory experience, including motivating, leading, setting objectives and managing performance.
    • Experience in partnership development with non-profit partners, community groups and government agencies. Able to influence and work productively with these stakeholders.
    • Experience negotiating complex agreements.
    • Experience influencing, developing, and implementing conservation policy and plans.
    • Experience with financial management of very large programs and bringing these to a successful close.
    • Experience working in a matrix organizational setting.

    Talent Acquisition Manager

    Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Establish a strong rapport with hiring managers in the Africa BU to understand their strategic staffing needs, priorities, constraints, and fill vacancies in a timely manner.
    • Participate in strategy sessions and apply knowledge gained to all aspects of the recruitment efforts and review solicitations and workforce strategies for staffing needs.
    • Proactively build TNC’s talent pipeline and network of potential candidates by identifying, screening, interviewing and assessing candidates for future program implementation
    • Identify, engage and secure top talented candidates (both passive and active) using different sourcing strategies that are successful in attracting viable candidates for highly technical project/program implementation
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and team dynamics while building out recruiting strategies and streamlining the hiring process.
    • Act as a regional advisor in hiring processes, sourcing, global mobility, relocation and job description writing, etc.
    • Conduct thorough candidate prescreening interviews and recommend highly qualified and diverse candidates who meet the requirements for the role. Attend interview panels and serve as a HR technical expert.
    • Assist with development and implementation of Internship Program as a recruitment strategy for the BU
    • Lead recruitment for interns.
    • Continually assess the effectiveness of the recruitment & onboarding processes, research best practices, obtain feedback from new hires and hiring managers, and utilize data to refine and improve the processes over time.
    • Lead updates to and development of overall talent acquisition team processes, procedures, rapid-hire protocols and systems including the applicant tracking system for day-to-day candidate management and database.
    • Develop easy to use recruitment templates and forms (CV templates, reference check forms, common email templates, How-Tos, recruitment manuals, etc.). Evaluate and improve recruitment and related processes.
    • The duties of the job require regular attendance at least 5 days/week. The employee must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required.
    • Ability to travel 20% of the time

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING

    • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7years of related work experience.
    • Strong sourcing skills are required.
    • Experience managing recruitment of a diverse talent requirement.
    • Experience working with an applicant tracking system software is required.
    • A successful track record of rapid hiring and recruiting at a fast-growing organization.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed, results-oriented environment at a fast pace;
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, organize large volume of work, perform independently; proven organizational skills, with the ability to undertake multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
    • Possess a solid understanding and a strong experience sourcing with online networking tools such as Devex, ReliefWeb, LinkedIn, Facebook, Google search, Twitter and ability to identify and access new professional networks in international markets required.
    • Exhibit excellent organizational skills, responding to internal clients and candidates in a timely and professional manner.
    • Strategic thinker with ability to support and refine an end-to-end recruiting, interviewing and hiring process.
    • Proven ability to create diverse pipelines of talent sourcing for difficult to fill roles
