    Campaigns Lead

    The Role

    Africa No Filter is seeking an ambitious, strategic, and execution‑driven Campaigns Lead to drive the design, coordination, and delivery of the Opportunity Africa campaign.

    This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who understands how large‑scale campaigns are built, financed, and sustained—across multiple stakeholders, countries, platforms, and audiences. The Campaigns Lead will be responsible for translating Opportunity Africa’s vision into a cohesive, high‑impact campaign that delivers measurable narrative, engagement, and visibility outcomes.

    The role requires a rare blend of strategic thinking, campaign management, partnership building, and communications leadership, with the ability to operate comfortably at both big‑picture and operational levels.

    The successful candidate will be highly comfortable working with emerging technologies. They should be confident exploring, adopting, and integrating AI-driven tools and solutions to improve campaign planning, content creation, audience targeting, monitoring, and learning. This includes a proactive approach to identifying AI-platforms, working with technical partners where needed, and using data and insights to inform strategy and decision-making. The role requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to continuously test and evolve new tools in a fast-moving communications and narrative-change environment.

    Core Campaign Framework

    The Opportunity Africa campaign is built on  5 interconnected pillars, all of which fall under the leadership of this role:

    • Global Coalition – convening and coordinating partners across governments, corporates, media, creatives, multilaterals, and civil society around a shared Opportunity Africa narrative.
    • Brand Campaign – leading the development and rollout of a strong, recognisable Opportunity Africa brand and messaging architecture.
    • Supporting Tools & Toolkits – overseeing the creation of practical tools, assets, and guidelines that enable partners to implement and amplify the campaign consistently.
    • Storytellers & Influencer Programmes – working with our grants team to identify and work with creators, influencers and cultural leaders to expand the Opportunity Africa campaign.
    • PR & Communications Campaigns – driving earned media, thought leadership, and strategic communications to maximise reach, relevance, and impact.

    Key Responsibilities

    The role will manage complex timelines, multiple workstreams as identified above as well as external partners. The role will ensure alignment with the strategic intent and governance of the Campaign Fund (without fundraising responsibility), and track performance through clear KPIs, learning, and narrative impact metrics to continuously strengthen delivery.

    Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    Essential

    • Proven track record and 10+ years’ experience leading or managing large‑scale campaigns, movements, or multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
    • Strong background in communications, brand, advocacy, or narrative‑driven campaigns.
    • Proven experience working across multiple partners, geographies, and sectors.
    • Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and coordination skills.
    • Deep understanding of Africa’s corporate, brand and marketing landscape.
    • Ability to operate with confidence at senior stakeholder level.

    Desirable

    • Experience working with or alongside governments, multilaterals, or large institutions.
    • Experience managing influencers, creators, or cultural leaders.
    • Comfort working in fast‑moving, entrepreneurial organisations.

    Office Project Coordinator

    The Role

    Africa No Filter is seeking a highly capable, experienced Office Project Coordinator to operate in a Chief of Staff–style capacity within the Executive Director’s office.

    This is a trusted role designed for a mature, fast-paced, entrepreneurial professional who can bring structure, clarity, and follow-through to a complex portfolio of work. The role combines strategic coordination, executive support, project oversight, and systems thinking, ensuring that priorities across the Executive Director’s office move from intention to execution.

    The Office Project Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director to track organisational priorities, manage cross-cutting projects, support senior leadership alignment, and strengthen internal workflows using technology and AI. This role is critical to ensuring momentum, accountability, and effective project management across the organisation.

    The ideal candidate must be hghly comfortable working with digital tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve workflows, coordination, and delivery. They must also be confident experimenting with tools for scheduling, project management, documentation, meeting support, and reporting.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic & Executive Office Coordination

    • Act as a strategic partner to the Executive Director, helping to prioritise, sequence, and manage a complex and evolving portfolio of work.
    • Manage the day-to-day functioning of the Executive Director’s office, including calendar management, meeting preparation, follow-ups, and decision tracking.
    • Ensure the Executive Director’s time and attention are focused on the highest-value priorities.

    Project Tracking & Delivery Oversight

    • Track key organisational, campaign, and partnership projects on behalf of the Executive Director, ensuring clarity on ownership, timelines, and next steps.
    • Create and maintain lightweight but effective project management systems, dashboards, and action trackers.
    • Follow up with direct reports and senior leadership to ensure delivery, accountability, and timely escalation of risks or bottlenecks.

    Leadership & Stakeholder Coordination

    • Support coordination across the senior leadership team, helping ensure alignment, information flow, and follow-through on agreed actions.
    • Assist the Executive Director with stakeholder management, including the Board, Creative Council, advisory bodies, and senior external partners.
    • Prepare briefing notes, meeting summaries, and action memos to support effective engagement and decision-making.

    AI, Systems & Workflow Design

    • Proactively identify and implement AI-enabled tools and digital systems to improve productivity, project tracking, communications, and reporting within the ED’s office.
    • Design and refine workflows that reduce friction, improve clarity, and enable faster, smarter execution.
    • Act as a test-and-learn hub for new tools that can strengthen how leadership operates.

    Communications & Profile Support

    • Support the Executive Director’s external communications and social media in collaboration with the communications team.
    • Ensure messaging, timing, and tone are aligned with organisational priorities and public positioning.

    Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    Essential

    • 10 –12+ years’ experience in a Chief of Staff–style, Office Project Coordinator or senior coordination role supporting executive leadership.
    • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in fast-moving environments.
    • Proven experience tracking projects and driving follow-through without formal authority.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High emotional intelligence and exceptional interpersonal skills; confident engaging senior leaders and external stakeholders.
    • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate as a trusted confidant.
