    Occupational Therapist

    We are a Christian school in the education sector looking to recruit an additional Occupational Therapist. He/She will be responsible for conducting physical assessments of children, developing and following doctor-prescribed treatment plans, assessing the surrounding classroom environment and developing additional physical rehabilitation programs.

    Responsibilities

    Learner Assessment

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify learners' physical, emotional, developmental or social challenges.
    • Evaluate learners' home and/or work environments to determine potential barriers to independence.

    Treatment Planning

    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on learner assessments and goals.
    • Collaborate with learners, families, caregivers and interdisciplinary teams to set realistic, measurable outcomes.

    Therapeutic Interventions

    • Design and implement therapeutic activities to improve learners' abilities in daily living and working.
    • Use adaptive tools and techniques to assist learners in maximizing functional independence.
    • Provide rehabilitative exercises and education on energy conservation and joint protection.

     Monitoring and Evaluation

    • Monitor learners' progress and adapt treatment plans as needed.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, progress notes, and outcomes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
    • Valid registration and practicing license with the Kenya Occupational Therapists Association (KOTA).
    • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a school, pediatric or rehabilitation setting.
    • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

    Play Group & Reception Teacher

    We are a Christian school in the education sector seeking a qualified Playgroup and Reception Teacher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating early childhood learning through play-based and interactive teaching methods, while nurturing the spiritual, emotional and academic development of young learners.

    Responsibilities

    • Cater to and enhance the precise needs and learning styles of each learner.
    • Making and following schemes of work prepared as required.
    • Assisting the curriculum coordinator in the particular subject curriculum organization.
    • Preparation of medium and short-term plans in conjunction with the other members of the subject to ensure the curriculum is being followed.

    Head of Department- Boarding

    Responsibilities

    • Support in the development, review, and communication of the boarding schedule, rules, and requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
    • Ensuring all boarding staff understand and consistently implement the established boarding routines and expectations.
    • Coordinate the implementation of the boarding calendar and related events in collaboration with other departments, ensuring activities run within set timelines.
    • Oversee and support staff in maintaining pupil discipline and adherence to the daily boarding and school schedules.
    • Manage time-related routines such as wake-up, lights-out, and bedtime, based on school guidelines and age-appropriate practices.
    • Supervise personal grooming, ensuring all boarders are clean, well-dressed, and ready for daily school, church, or co-curricular engagements.
    • Monitor and maintain high cleanliness standards within the dormitories, including bed arrangement and regular airing of bedding.
    • Identify children with specific needs such as bed-wetting, and help develop a discreet and supportive management plan with relevant staff.
    • Keep accurate records of boarding attendance and follow up on any absenteeism, working closely with the admissions office, head teacher, and accounts office.
    • Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure all boarders receive appropriate meals, especially those with special dietary needs, in line with school policy.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Teaching.
    • TSC Registration.
    • Counselling Qualification.
    • 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Valid certificate of good conduct.
