    Music Teacher

    Role Summary.

    • Prepare and implement the lesson plan for students throughout the school calendar year, engage with learner’s and foster an interactive learning environment and executing creative teaching strategies for advancements of the learner’s musical talents.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques and preparing learners for examinations.
    • Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students' needs and examination syllabuses.
    • Assess learners’ abilities, providing feedback and writing reports.
    • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements.
    • Keeping up-to-date with exam requirements, teaching techniques and technology used in lessons.
    • Cooperation with Head of School and staff in providing musical programs for school assemblies, open house, parent meetings, graduations and seasonal programs.
    • Adapt curriculum to the needs of the students with varying intellectual abilities, and to accommodate variety of instructional needs
    • Teaches knowledge and skills in the music curriculum to students utilizing the course of study prescribed by the approved curriculum.
    • Be in a position to develop programs to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners using a range of instructional techniques and media.
    • Actively contribute to the broader school community through co-curricular programs.
    • Be competent in training for both internal and external Music events.
    • Be conversant with the new Competency Based Curriculum.

    The requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Music or BA/BSc with P.G.D.E.
    • At least 2 years' teaching experience.
    • Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
    • Be conversant with the new Competency Based Curriculum.
    • Working knowledge of MS – office computer applications

    French & ICT Teacher

    Key Responsibilities

    • To prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s vision and mission.
    • To collaboratively develop unit and lesson plans for the curriculum
    • To ensure students acquire excellent knowledge and skills so that they make progress, achieve their targets and are prepared for the next stage of their careers
    • Produce documents such as Unit plans, Records of Work, Course outlines, class analyses etc.
    • Differentiate lessons in order to match learners’ needs
    • Involve the learners in different learning activities such as storytelling, role plays, numbers and letters recognition, etc.
    • Displaying learners’ work in the classroom to showcase their abilities and finished projects.
    • Plan regular excursions to expose them to different environments.
    • Observe the behavior of children and help them improve it by building self-confidence and teaching social values.
    • To guide learners with learning differences and behavioral challenges.
    • Manage and update the progress of children and create reports for parents.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor of Education French with a minimum of B- in O-levels.
    • Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
    • At least 2 years' teaching experience.
    • Be conversant with the new Competency Based Education
    • Other French courses will be an added advantage.
    • Working knowledge of MS – office computer applications

    • Valid TSC registration
    • Demonstrated ability to teach all the learning areas at Early year Education Level.
    • Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the Competency Based Curriculum
    • At least 1-2 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputable school
    • Good ICT skills, especially in the use of MS Office applications
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct
