    Occupational Therapist

    Overall Responsibility

    • The Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapy programs that help patients develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. The role focuses on enabling patients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to achieve maximum independence in all aspects of their lives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients physical, psychological, and environmental needs.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
    • Use therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment to improve patients’ functionality in daily tasks.
    • Provide rehabilitation services to patients with conditions such as stroke, cerebral palsy, spinal injuries, arthritis, developmental delays, and mental health issues.
    • Collaborate with physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure holistic care.
    • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on care plans, exercises, and assistive devices.
    • Document and maintain accurate patient records and treatment progress.
    • Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational therapy practices, innovations, and relevant legislation.
    • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, protocols, and safety regulations.
    • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and audits in the department.

    Job Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
    • Must be registered and licensed by the Occupational Therapy Council of Kenya.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
    • Training in mental health, pediatrics, or neurological rehabilitation is an added advantage.
    • Empathetic, patient-centered approach.
    • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

    Clinical Officer

    Overall Responsibility

    • To provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care in accordance with medical standards and institutional policies. The Clinical Officer will also actively participate in outreach programs aimed at promoting health education, disease prevention, and expanding access to healthcare services within the community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Clinical Duties

    • Conduct patient consultations, diagnosis, and treatment across a range of medical conditions.
    • Prescribe appropriate treatment plans including medication, procedures, and referrals.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports in line with medical documentation standards.
    • Provide emergency care and minor surgical procedures as needed.
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

    Health Outreach & Community Engagement

    • Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of community outreach activities.
    • Offer medical services during mobile clinics, health camps, and community health drives.
    • Conduct health talks, screenings, and awareness sessions during outreach programs.
    • Serve as a liaison between the facility and the community in promoting preventive healthcare.
    • Collect and report outreach data for follow-up and planning purposes.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, guidelines, and standard treatment procedures.
    • Participate in clinical audits, CMEs, and quality improvement initiatives.
    • Support infection prevention and control practices within the clinical environment.

    Job Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine and Community Health or equivalent.
    • Registered with the Clinical Officers Council of Kenya.
    • Valid practicing license.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a busy healthcare facility.
    • Experience in community health or outreach programs is an added advantage.
    • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
