    Chief Executive Officer

    • Our client in the Water & Sanitation sector invites applications from competent individuals to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer is accountable to the Executive Committee (EC) for providing effective and efficient management for the realization of the vision and mission of the Association.


    • To lead the operations and development of the Water and Sanitation Providers policies and to establish effective relationships with members, the Executive Committee, as well as staff development partners, relevant government authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure the achievement of the organization’s objectives.


    Contractual, renewable based on performance.


    • The Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Association.
    • Drive the process of strategy development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
    • Head of the Secretariat and ensure its effective and efficient operation
    • Accounting officer of the Association
    • Leads the process of developing an annual budget for approval by the Executive Committee
    • Ensuring compliance with the Policy and procedures of the Association
    • Ensure implementation of the decisions and resolutions of the Executive Committee and AGM
    • Ensuring sound management of the assets and resources of the Association.
    • Ensuring compliance with the requirements of all donors and or partners as shall be agreed by the Executive Committee.
    • Ensuring the Association complies with all legal requirements.
    • Ensuring full support of the sub-committees and any other organs of the Association by the Secretariat
    • Develops and present relevant reports as required to the partners and Executive Committee
    • Maintain good relationships with stakeholders, members, employees, government authorities, and development partners through effective communications
    • Representing the Association at relevant fora and articulate the views and position of the Association
    • Ensuring the self-sustainability of the Association
    • Any other duties as shall be assigned by the Executive Committee.


    Educational Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
    • Post Graduate Qualification will be an added advantage

    Essential Requirements

    • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, 5 of which should be senior management in the Water Sector
    • A member of a recognized Professional Body and in good standing
    • Good grasp of water and sanitation issues and their articulation in the global, regional, and local frameworks
    • Ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff together toward common goals.
    • Experience in resource mobilization and working with different donors and development partners
    • Experience in corporate governance especially working with Boards and Board Committees
    • Proven strong communication skills both written and oral
    • Experience in policy and policy-making processes at a local (county) and National level
    • Experience in advocacy and lobbying
    • The Successful candidate to provide evidence that they meet Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya 2010

    • An International school situated in the Rift Valley region of Kenya is looking for an individual to assume the role of a Headmaster of the school. They are seeking a diverse, dynamic, and education-focused Head Teacher to join their education community. The ideal candidate should a have a wealth of teaching experience with the know-how of how to run a school in line with regulatory authority procedures. The focus of the role is to manage teaching staff, ensure the curriculum is followed, and ensure the safety and healthy learning of students.


    • Oversee teaching at the school and ensure the classes are covering and meeting the requirements set out by the governing body.
    • Develop and implement effective processes for the learning and development of children.
    • Manage the reviews of teachers and other teaching staff within the school community.
    • Ensure that protocol is followed for any untoward situations that arise, such as assault within the school, instability of students’ mental health, and safeguarding of students.
    • Implement safeguarding procedures as required.
    • Manage the staff cash imprest expenditures surrender and requests for school excursions
    • Arrange and oversee parent-teacher meetings.
    • Prepare the teachers, students, and other staff members for inspections conducted by the regulatory authority.
    • Provide reports on academic performance improvements to the board of governors.
    • Create a diverse, dynamic, and inclusive environment among the teachers and students.
    • Ability to delegate and coordinate the senior staff to implement and monitor the school strategic plan.
    • Be conversant with the performance management process
    • Interact with school parent body in order to bring out effective communication with the stakeholders
    • Responsible for leading and managing the school supported by the Heads of department and the
    • Ability to work in a committee type of organization
    • Be able to work in tandem with the Chief Administration Officer to achieve the school objectives


    • Bachelor’s degree in education, teaching, or specialized subject is preferred
    • A Master’s degree in education, teaching, or specialized subject is an added advantage
    • Valid teaching certificate – TSC Registered minimum 10 years teaching experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching children of varying ages in British curriculum.
    • Minimum of 2 year’s experience as an assistant head teacher or Headteacher in a reputable school
    • Teaching experience in British curriculum
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proficient with the use of computer programs, report writing, and forecasting
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
    • Demonstrated ability to implement processes, and procedures and follow compliance
    • Good problem-solving abilities
    • Able to adapt quickly and professionally to a changing environment
    • Good understanding of health and safety regulations
