    Laboratory Technician

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Liaise with science staff to prepare and manage materials, equipment, and demonstrations for practical work.
    • Support teachers and students during experiments, ensuring correct use and care of equipment.
    • Maintain safe laboratory practices, including chemical handling, storage, disposal, and risk assessments.
    • Prepare solutions, stains, and media for use in laboratories.
    • Maintain inventory, manage procurement of materials, and ensure security of equipment.
    • Supervise and support technical assistants/technicians, where applicable.
    • Provide guidance on laboratory techniques, use of IT resources, and safety protocols.
    • Care for flora and fauna in line with IB regulations.
    • Liaise with suppliers and external organizations to source equipment.
    • Contribute to departmental budgeting and resource planning.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma or degree in Laboratory Technology or related field.
    • Prior experience in a school or educational laboratory setting is an advantage.
    • Strong organizational, technical, and safety knowledge in laboratory management.

    Teacher-Mathematics & Pre-Technical Studies

    Role Summary

    • Provide an appropriately broad, balanced and differentiated learning experience for students, in accordance with the national curriculum, aims of the school and curriculum policies. Ensure commitment to the ethos and set of values to secure high-quality learning, effective use of resources, and improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students

    Key Responsibilities

    • To prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s vision and mission.
    • Teach students principally in the subject area across the classes and ability range in accordance with agreed schemes of work and assessment for learning, recording and reporting procedures.
    • Be in a position to develop programs to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners using a range of instructional techniques and media.
    • Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school calendar year.
    • Participate in the development of appropriate materials and schemes of work within your faculty and in cooperation with colleagues.
    • Share responsibility for ensuring the safety, well-being, and discipline of all the students at the school.
    • Helping individual students who are behind or struggling to learn the content.
    • Carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with agreed rotas.
    • Participate in meetings with parents and colleagues relating to all aspects of your work as a teacher.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
    • At least 3 years’ teaching experience.
    • Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

    ECDE Teacher

    Role Summary. 

    • Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow in order to enhance early development of children, fostering a love for learning and supporting their social and emotional well-being. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to support the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of children.
    • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and independence.
    • Provide a variety of learning experiences, including play-based activities, group discussions, and individualized instruction, to cater to the diverse needs and learning styles of children.
    • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote open communication and collaboration.
    • Monitor and assess each child’s progress and development, maintaining accurate records and providing feedback to parents on a regular basis.
    • Support children in developing essential skills, such as language and communication, problem-solving, fine and gross motor skills, and social interactions.
    • Promote good behaviour and discipline through positive reinforcement techniques and age-appropriate classroom rules and expectations.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD) from a recognized institution.
    • At least two years’ experience working with young children in a school setting.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
    • A caring, patient, and flexible attitude.
    • Be conversant with the new Competency Based Curriculum
