Job Summary

• The Site Health & Safety Intern will be required to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and advise on minimizing hazards or unhealthy situations in the upcoming projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensuring proper use of PPEs by workers while conducting monitoring on compliance.
• Raising daily concerns from issues on-site that may pose potential hazards.

Housekeeping/record keeping on site

• Maintaining records of safety inventories
• Eliminating physical hazards through the maintenance of good housekeeping.
• Responsible for keeping a daily record of workers/employees on site on a daily basis.

Report writing

• Write daily, weekly safety and health reports or injury logs and submit them to the Health and Safety officer.
• Daily reporting of site compliance, incidents, and accidents reporting.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health & safety
• Basic training in either First Aid, Fire Safety will be an added advantage
• Proven/prior competency in handling safety/health aspects in a construction site.
• Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• NEBOSH certificate will be an added advantage

Job Summary

• We are looking for competent and experienced Road Site Agents to join our team for our new upcoming projects. The Site Agents will be responsible for interpreting drawings and execution of the project on behalf of the company. They will also help with the monthly programming of work.

Duties and Responsibilities

Site Management

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client’s specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress, and liaising with quantity surveyors to monitor costs.
• Formulate, update, maintain, and distribute the project program
• Manage the sub-contractors & and coordinate both nominated & and domestic sub-contractors.
• Coordinating and supervising construction workers

Reporting and Key Relationships

• Liaise with consultants i.e. Architects, structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers for details.
• Attends site meetings & and keeps essential site documents & and records
• Accompanying clients during site visits and answering questions about the construction project’s overall progress and changes; working closely and consulting with clients all through the project lifecycle
• Create site harmony by resolving any emerging conflicts in consultation with Project Managers

Safety and Standards

• Be responsible for quality and proper construction practices and engineering
• Be permanently on-site during working hours to give guidance and prevent defects.
• Setting and enforcing standards for each job site and ensuring that contractors and crews follow proper safety guidelines

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering or Construction management from a reputable university
• A solid understanding of project management
• A minimum of 6 years relevant work experience in road construction. However, experience in both Roads & Building construction will be an added advantage.

• Good leadership and teamwork skills to guide contractors, subcontractors, and teams of workers.
