    Protection of Family Links Field Officer 2

    Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

    • Contributes to the identification of PFL needs at national level and Assists in the implementation of the PFL strategy
    • Conducts regular PFL field assessments jointly with the Somali Red Crescent Society PFL teams or as part of ICRC multidisciplinary team
    • Conducts regular visits SRCS offices in Somalia and provides on-site coaching to the PFL SRCS officers and volunteers
    • Conducts regular PFL field assessments jointly with the SRCS PFL teams or as part of ICRC multidisciplinary teams
    • Liaises locally with the different stakeholders and external contacts (IDPs camps, local authorities, NGOs and other agencies) on the different PFL issues of interest 
    • Ensures that proper flow of information and follow up of individual tracing cases are done in timely manner and on monthly basis
    • Participates in PFL Meetings, drafts minutes of meetings and circulates the same in a timely manner
    • Monitors, analyses and reports on PFL needs and activities
    • Supports the implementation of management of the dead activities (logistical, admin and budgetary support)

    Certifications / Education required

    • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, political science or any other related field of study

    Professional Experience required

    • 4 years’ experience in a busy humanitarian environment focusing on protection or human rights activities.
    • Experience in fostering a constructive working environment for the team members

    • High level of confidentiality
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Somali

    Technical Worker - Fuel Attendant

    Your role

    • The Technical Worker-fuel attendant performs simple technical tasks that require monitoring of the fuel levels, dispensing fuel to the ICRC vehicles and adhering to safety measures in place.

    Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

    • Refueling all ICRC vehicles, Generators at Logistics Support Centre Fuel Station,
    • Recording of external fuels consumed along the journey upon return by trucks from trips,
    • Calculates consumption for each vehicle at each refueling of vehicles,
    • Reconciles Counter meter reading units to match the dispensed amount of litres issued, 
    • Checks and receives diesel supplies during bulk delivery at the Logistics Support centre,
    • Cleaning of the Storage tanks and Pump areas,
    • Ensures there is enough stock of safety materials and are kept in strategic areas for prompt usage,
    • Cleaning of vehicles, checking/refill of water levels/coolant and record daily,
    • Monitors and reports of any malfunctioning of equipment for necessary action.

    What we will look for in your profile

    • Minimum O level KCSE with relevant certificate/storekeeping certificate,
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position,
    • Valid driving license Class BCE,
    • Basic automotive/technical and administrative skills is an added advantage,
    • Computer skills (excel) an added advantage,
    • Good written and spoken English, 
    • High sense of integrity,
    • Attention to detail and meticulous use of proper safety procedures.

    Fleet Administrator

    Your role

    • The Fleet Administrator facilitates the registration, transfer, inspection and disposal of the ICRC Fleet assets in the country.

    Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

    • Preparation, follow-up and keep up to date the Vehicle auction files of all ICRC Fleet assets,
    • Review & facilitate renewal of the Transport Driver's Driving Licences & update status in Fleet wave database,
    • Inspection of ICRC's Motor Vehicles and update in Fleet Wave on time,
    • Facilitate renewal & follow up of Kenyan Driving Licence & International Driving Permit for Expatriates, 
    • Registration, de-registration, re-registration and transfer of ownership for ICRC & expatriates’ vehicles,
    • Ensure proper record keeping & document filing is update & archived in relevant databases i.e., Fleet wave & TeamSpace,
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with procedures from relevant authorities & obtain relevant approvals before vehicle disposal, 
    • Ensure all foreign plated vehicles have valid foreign permits, Carnets and updated in Fleet wave database,
    • Handling vehicle registration, customs entries, Ministry of Transport inspection reports,
    • Coordination & payment of Toll Fee/permits for ICRC Fleet vehicles,
    • Act as E-citizen NTSA (National Transport Safety Authority) Administrator and MFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) focal point for ICRC Fleet,
    • Negotiating and Liaising with NTSA regarding any ICRC missing or delayed documents.

    What we will look for in your profile

    • Degree in Business Administration or Logistics Management or equivalent,
    • Excellent knowledge of Administrative and protocol matters with National Transport Safety Authority & Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position,
    • Previous working experience with International Organizations (preferred),
    • Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills & good command of written & spoken English, 
    • Proficiency of computer / ICT skills with excellent command of Excel & Data Base Management,
    • A valid driving License class BCE,
    • Ability to prioritize daily tasks according to their importance, urgency, resolve challenges & prepare reports promptly,
    • Attentive to details with high sense of confidentiality and integrity, 
    • Good presentation and analytical skills in managing files & extensive databases,
    • Self-managed & high degree of flexibility and responsiveness,
    • Basic motor vehicle knowledge.
