Solar PV Technician / Electrical Technician at Betech Solar Solutions

Betech Solar Solutions is seeking a motivated and skilled Solar PV Technician to join our growing technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of residential, commercial, and industrial solar power systems across Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and energy assessments.
• Install solar panels, mounting structures, batteries, hybrid inverters, and associated accessories.
• Perform AC and DC electrical wiring in accordance with Kenyan standards.
• Commission and test newly installed solar systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in solar PV systems.
• Provide customer training on system operation and maintenance.
• Prepare installation reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with EPRA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Maintain professional conduct while representing the company on customer sites.
• Participate in company marketing activities by appearing in installation videos, project showcases, educational content, and social media posts when required.

Requirements

• Valid EPRA Solar PV Technician Licence (T1, T2 or T3).
• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
• Knowledge of domestic and commercial electrical wiring.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
• Willing to travel throughout Kenya.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Honest, reliable, and able to work independently or within a team.
• A valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
