    Finance Assistant (Maternity Reliever)

    Role Summary

    • The Finance Assistant supports the efficient financial operations of the Academy by ensuring timely billing, fee collection, reconciliation, and accurate financial record-keeping. The role exists to maintain transparent, compliant, and well-documented financial processes that support effective school administration and enable sound financial decision-making.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and comply with the Academy’s financial policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
    • Record, reconcile, bank, invoice and receipt all student fees and payments accurately and on time.
    • Maintain accurate student ledgers, statements and resolve account discrepancies.
    • Support fee collection, debtor follow-ups and reporting of outstanding balances.
    • Manage petty cash, staff floats and approved disbursements in line with policy.
    • Process refunds, reimbursements and caution fee transactions under supervision.
    • Coordinate supplier invoices, payments, inventory records and store controls.
    • Prepare financial reports, billing summaries and reconciliation support as required.
    • Ensure compliance, documentation readiness and support for internal and external audits.
    • Provide financial and administrative support for school activities, events and departmental needs.

    The requirements

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • CPA Part II, ACCA Level II, or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
    • Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting, or administrative support preferably in an educational or service-oriented environment.

    Teacher - Kiswahili / History

    ROLE SUMMARY

    Provide an appropriately broad, balanced and differentiated learning experience for students, in accordance with the national curriculum, aims of the school and curriculum policies. Ensure commitment to ethos and set of values in order to secure high quality learning, effective use of resources and improvement in standards of learning and achievement for all students. To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • To prepare and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s vision and mission. 
    • Teach students principally in the subject area across the classes and ability range in accordance with agreed schemes of work and assessment for learning, recording and reporting procedures. 
    • Be in a position to develop programs to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners using a range of instructional techniques and media. 
    • Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school calendar year. 
    • Participate in the development of appropriate materials and schemes of work within your faculty and in cooperation with colleagues. 
    • Share responsibility for ensuring the safety, well-being, and discipline of all the students at the school. 
    • Helping individual students who are behind or struggling to learn the content. 
    • Carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with agreed rotas. 
    • Participate in meetings with parents and colleagues relating to all aspects of your work as a teacher.  

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

    • Must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Education or BA/BSc with P.G.D.E. 
    • At least 3 years' teaching experience.  
    • Must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC). 
    • Be conversant with the new Competency Based Curriculum. 
    • Working knowledge of MS – office computer applications.

    Driver

    Role summary

    • The driver will ensure that the vehicles are in good condition and well-serviced at all times with the required documentation. S/he will drive the school staff and other stakeholders within Nairobi and its environs. They driver is expected to maintain professionalism in the daily operations and interactions with all stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Safely transport staff, students and visitors for school activities and official duties.
    • Support logistical arrangements for school events, trips and sports fixtures.
    • Collect and deliver mail, documents and packages as required.
    • Run administrative errands and make minor purchases when assigned.
    • Pay utility bills and school-related charges as instructed.
    • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
    • Maintain cleanliness and good condition of assigned vehicles.
    • Keep accurate trip, mileage and fuel records.
    • Follow all traffic laws, safety rules and school policies.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) certificate.
    • Valid Kenyan Driver’s License (Class D - D1/D2/D3) with PSV endorsement.
    • A valid certificate of good conduct.
    • Must have experience in driving with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
    • Driving experience in an educational set-up will be an added advantage.
    • Certification in Defensive Driving or First Aid will be an added advantage
    • A basic understanding of the mechanical aspects of vehicles will be an added advantage.
