    Lubrication Technician

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    In Lubrication Technician role, you will be responsible for the Lubrication of plant equipment and machinery.

    YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage and coordinate the third-party lubrication contractor team to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and maintenance plans.

    Health Safety & Environment (HSE)

    • Strictly comply with the Company’s HSE Policies, Rules, and Standards at all times.
    • Carry out all work in accordance with approved procedures, permits, and risk assessments to ensure safe and controlled operations.
    • Correctly use and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and wear it consistently while performing duties.
    • Proactively identify, report, and where possible correct unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and environmental hazards.
    • Immediately report all incidents, near misses, hazards, and at-risk situations in accordance with company reporting procedures.
    • Actively participate in Boots on the Ground (BOG) safety observations and engagements to promote safe behaviors and hazard awareness in the workplace.
    • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, emergency drills, and HSE improvement initiatives to support and strengthen the organization’s safety culture.

    Responsible for the lubrication of the below listed equipment:

    •  Lime stone crusher.
    • Additives crusher.
    • Stacker/Re-claimer.
    • Raw mill feeding.
    • Raw mill (ball mills and vertical roller mill).
    • Raw meal transport screws and elevators
    • Raw meal pneumatic screw conveyor.
    • Raw mill fans
    • Silo aeration blowers.
    • Bin feed and Kiln feed elevators and screws
    • Pre-heater flap dampers.
    • Kiln main drive, aux drive, girthgear, support rollers
    • Kilns ID fans
    • Main burner and secondary burner axial and radial rotary blowers & compressors.
    • Clinker Cooler under grate fans.
    • Clinker crusher, drag chain and clinker transport pan conveyors
    • Kilns process filter big fans and screws
    • Coal mill, coal filter fan, coal mill separator, coal pneumatic transport screw pump and blowers
    • Central compressors
    • Gantry cranes
    • Cement mills main drive gearboxes, motors, cement pneumatic screw pumps and blowers
    • Cement mills process fans, screws and elevators
    • Cement extraction screws, elevators, bag filters and fans
    • Rotor packers, cement loading conveyors and telescopic belts
    • Main work shop machines
    • Responsible for the lubrication of equipment as per given lubrication schedule
    • Oil sampling as per schedule
    • Maintain lubrication tools in good operative condition.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    •  Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
    •  Minimum 3 years’ experience in the cement industry or 7 years’ experience in any process industry.
    • Good knowledge of industrial lubrication systems, lubricants, greases, and their applications in plant
    • equipment.
    • Experience in preventive maintenance, lubrication scheduling, and maintaining lubrication records.
    • Ability to identify lubrication-related faults and ensure timely corrective actions while meeting
    • assigned targets.
    • Self-motivated, disciplined, punctual, and flexible, with good teamwork skills and ability to work
    • independently in an industrial environment.

    Mechanical Technician

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    In the Mechanical Technician role, you will take execution of the maintenance job in line with the department planned activities, goals and objectives, taking into considerations of production, process and safety requirements notwithstanding the adverse working conditions of dust, excessive heat, confined spaces, working at height and high noise levels.

    Operations

    • Ensure compliance to our Environment Policy and Bamburi environmental standards and carry out maintenance activities in a manner that would cause minimum impact to the environment.
    • Ensure housekeeping in your working area is done and clean at the end of every shift
    • Attends breakdowns, investigates and traces and rectifies Faults.
    • Performs all maintenance Tasks in the section as be allocated.
    • Make proposals to modify or Improve Equipment for better performance or Safety improvements to the Supervisor.
    • Keep the Work area Clean.
    • Carry out Risk Assessment on all Tasks prior to execution.
    • Perform energy isolation prior to working on Equipment as per Procedure or as evaluated on the Risk Assessment.
    • Performs On Call duties as programmed.
    • Participates in all aspects of current Planning in Weekly or Shut downs.
    • Performs duties and Tasks according to Safety requirements and attends related safety Meetings.
    • Report to the Supervisor, when the Plant or Part of the Plant has to be stopped for Maintenance purposes.
    • Assists in Training of Apprentices and others when required.
    • Perform any other reasonable Task when requested by the Supervisor.
    • Perform plant inspection as and when instructed by the Supervisor and feedback, either verbal or written.
    • Ensure daily reports on work completion and handing over of equipment is done
    • Raising notifications
    • Supervise contractors working with the team

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    •  Preferred Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with three years’ experience in heavy manufacturing industry
    • Good knowledge of Health & Safety Rules and Regulations.
    • Good Knowledge of Mechanical Equipment.
    • Good Knowledge of Machining and Measurements

    Maintenance Inspector

    THE OPPORTUNITY

    In the Maintenance Inspector role, you will carry out walk-by and detailed inspections of plant equipment to monitor conditions, analyze performance trends, and identify maintenance needs. Provide recommendations and support maintenance planning while considering production constraints, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and optimal plant performance.

    Inspection Activities

    • Conduct walk-by inspections of all plant equipment following predefined inspection routes and raise maintenance requests (notifications) in SAP
    •  Perform specific/detailed inspections on critical equipment according to predefined schedules and routes.
    • Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports with findings, anomalies, and recommendations.
    • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions.
    • Participate in Reliability Committee meetings

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    Qualification & Experience

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • 2–3 years of experience in service/maintenance, preferably within a cement plant environment.

    Job-Specific Skills

    •  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective time management and decision-making abilities.
    • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    Generic skill

    •  Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
    • Proficient in PC applications and reporting tools.

    Other Competencies:

    • Professional Development Guide (Inspectors) certification or equivalent.
    • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
