About the role
BURN Manufacturing is seeking a Material Requirements Planner (MRP) to ensure the timely procurement, availability, and optimal inventory levels of raw materials for the Biomass Business Unit. This role will manage Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV), coordinate with procurement, and ensure seamless material flow to support manufacturing operations across multiple countries.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in MRP, procurement planning, inventory management, and ERP systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) & ERP Management (NAV)
- Develop and maintain the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV).
- Ensure that raw materials, components, and packaging materials are available to meet production schedules.
- Monitor material demand vs. supply, adjusting purchase orders and inventory targets as needed.
- Ensure real-time data accuracy in NAV, updating material lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and safety stock levels.
- Work closely with Production Planners and Demand Planners to align material availability with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
Procurement Planning & Supplier Coordination
- Follow up on purchase orders and coordinate with the Procurement Team to ensure on-time material deliveries.
- Collaborate with Procurement & Quality Teams to ensure supplier performance meets BURN’s quality and lead time expectations.
- Track open purchase orders (POs) and follow up on order confirmations, shipping updates, and delivery schedules.
Inventory Optimization & Risk Management
- Define and monitor safety stock levels to prevent stockouts while minimizing excess inventory.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to raw material shortages, excess stock, and obsolescence.
- Work with warehouse and logistics teams to optimize stock storage, FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices, and material flow.
- Analyse slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend action plans for utilization or disposal.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Material Planning, Procurement Planning, or Supply Chain Management.
- Strong expertise in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred) and MRP planning tools.
- Proven experience in raw material planning, procurement coordination, and inventory optimization.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics tools.
- Knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, and supplier management.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling (MPS) & ERP Management (NAV)
- Manage and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (NAV) for all countries under the Biomass Business Unit.
- Continuously update and optimize the MPS based on sales forecasts, production constraints, and inventory levels.
- Work closely with regional supply chain teams to ensure supply continuity and production capacity alignment across multiple locations.
- Monitor and adjust production plans to mitigate supply risks and bottlenecks.
- Ensure alignment of the MPS with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes across different markets.
Supply Planning & Inventory Optimization (Multi-Country)
- Align supply plans with manufacturing capabilities across multiple production sites.
- Coordinate stock allocations and inventory levels to ensure each country has the right supply levels.
- Define and monitor inventory safety stock policies per country to balance customer service levels and working capital.
- Proactively address risks related to stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete stock across different regions.
Stakeholder Alignment & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the key liaison between Production, Procurement, Sales, and Warehousing teams across all countries.
- Communicate supply and demand constraints proactively to all stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
- Work closely with country-specific supply chain teams to customize planning strategies for local market conditions
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Demand & Supply Planning, MPS management, or a similar role (preferably in a manufacturing or multi-country supply chain environment).
- Strong expertise in ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred) and demand forecasting tools.
- Proven experience in multi-country planning, inventory management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other data analytics tools for data-driven decision-making.

- Ensure timely material procurement to prevent stockouts and avoid overstocking.
- Optimize inventory turnover rates while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate with warehousing and logistics teams to ensure smooth stock movement and order fulfilment.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as the key liaison between the Production, Procurement, Sales, and Warehousing teams for the IDC Business Unit.
