JOB PURPOSE 

• Responsible for ensuring proper surface preparation, spray painting, quality checks and paint reworks are done on available units. The role ensures that the paint application meets quality standards, adheres to safety regulations, and aligns with production schedules.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB 
Operational Responsibilities 

• Follow all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment
• Participate in safety training.
• Inspect body and frame to determine feasibility and best method of repair and painting.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, sand body areas to be painted, locate surface irregularities, remove old paint and rust by scraping, grinding, sanding and brushing or applying paint remover.
• Apply neutralizing and chemical conditioning solutions to bare metal surfaces.
• Follow supervisor’s instructions as to which parts to restore or replace and how much time the job should take.
• Remove, install adjust and align body components, such as fenders, doors, door panels, hoods, deck lids, grills, weather strips, bumpers, roofs and quarter panels, for painting purposes.
• Apply body filler to build up depressed areas.
• Mix paint to correct ratios as per standards of manufacturer.
• Use spray painting equipment to perform painting operations and repairs where necessary, to the best quality finish.
• Implement paint process best practices, including good record keeping and reporting.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned by Paint engineer.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
• Spray painter Grade III Trade Test, specialized training or certifications in paint technology will be an added advantage
• To have completed secondary level of education
• Ability to work accurately and methodically
• Prior experience in automotive paint processes or a similar role in manufacturing is preferred.

JOB PURPOSE 

• Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the plant.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB 
Operational Responsibilities 

• Follow all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct daily pre-shift forklift inspections, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Communicate effectively with other staff and superiors to ensure smooth workflow and efficient operations in different shop floors
• May be required to perform other general Logistics duties as needed, such as:
• Unboxing of CKD-cases as guided by the unboxing guidelines
• Inspection of parts and reporting any part defects to the team leader
• Racking and binning of parts in their respective material handling equipment
• Robbing of parts to enable assembly continuity in case of missing or damage parts replacement as guided by authorized parts discrepancy report
• Sequential feeding of parts to line assembly within the facility as per assembly schedule
• Ensuring smooth operations within the line by providing real time reactions to Logistics related delays
• Carry out post-mortem to ensure all parts are consumed, prepare reports in case discrepancy
• Report all MMOs and KDQRs to your team leader and supervisor
• Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner
• And any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
• Possession of a valid forklift operator’s license or certification –Class G
• To have completed secondary level of education
• Ability to work accurately and methodically
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and count stock

• Working experience of 2 years in warehouse operations

JOB PURPOSE 

• Responsible for performing welding operations using suitable welding processes and techniques to produce quality structurally sound and strong welds free from defects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB 
Operational Responsibilities 

• Follow all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training.
• Performing MIG, SMAW, Resistant spot welding (RSW) or TIG welding operations ensuring the welds are free from defects and right size as per standards.
• Inspect joint preparation and report substandard preparation
• Prepare jigs and welding fixtures as required for products production and welding
• Performing fitting and weld preparation procedures in accordance with specified standards and assembly/fabrication drawings
• Set up and use all welding equipment correctly
• Use welding consumables and tools efficiently
• Use and maintain welding equipment in full operating condition.
• Reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings to ensure product is built /welded as per design
• Work in accordance with KVM Quality policy, procedures and work instructions
• Champion Quality improvement initiatives, put in place and follow Kaizen principles and standards as provided.
• Adhering to KVM HSE Policy and ANZEN principles

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum level of academic and professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role
• Diploma/Certificate in welding or a related field
• To have completed secondary level of education
• Knowledge of welding best practices and safety procedures

Minimum level of experience required to perform effectively in the role

• Working experience of 2 years in welding and fabrication in structural work or automotive field
