    Data Assistant

    Job Purpose

    The data assistant will ensure that all program data is entered into a computer-based database accurately in readiness for analysis.

     Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Timely and accurate entry of data into CPIMS (reporting tools include enrolment forms, CPARA, Case Plans, Form 1A, Form 1Bs and any other tool as may be revised).
    • Updating the OVC data in the system for consistency with physical files.
    • Verify and edit data as needed.
    • Data retrieval and analysis as guided by the M&E officer, project coordinator or donor.
    • Conduct Data Quality Assessment in consultation with the M&E officer.
    • Ensure data is backed up for easy retrieval and recovery.
    • Manage and organize records and physical files for easy access.
    • Storage and validation of CHVs data logs for monthly monitoring and tracking.
    • Work with case managers to validate data shared by community health volunteers before entry into the system.

    Key Qualifications/Skills/Competencies/Experience Required

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management/Social Work/ Public Health / or any other related field.
    • Monitoring & Evaluation Certificate Training will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation activities specifically in OVC care and support projects.
    • Working knowledge of, and practical experience of CPIMS or OVC Database will be an added advantage.
    • Good understanding of PEPFAR/MOH/MGLSD reporting requirements, expectations and tools.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    Assistant Program Officer โ€“ Social Work

    Job Purpose:

    The Assistant Program Officer will assist the Case Manager to monitor and report on all project activities related to case management and service delivery to OVC and their families in support of Tumikia Mtoto’s work to ensure improved access to health and social services to the OVC and their families. The role will include providing a service-oriented approach that will ensure that the project consistently applies the new Case Management approach to the delivery of quality and time-bound services to the OVC and their families as well as enhance their participation in their best interest to constantly work towards improving the impact of the benefits to the project beneficiaries.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities as outlined in USAID Tumikia Mtoto Project Detailed Implementation Plan.
    • Provide technical assistance to LIP case workers, LCHP, CHP, Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission Point of Contacts (PMTCT POC) and Link Desk Persons to conduct quality household’s assessments.
    • Support the project volunteers in their efforts to reflect on project experiences.
    • Collect and analyze project data per specified mechanisms and tools.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all assigned project activities per donor and USAID Tumikia Mtoto standards.
    • Support case workers (CW) or Community Health Promoters (CHP) in execution of their duties.
    • Maintain an efficient case filing system.
    • Support strengthening of OVC and DREAMS cross referrals integration activities including co-enrolment.
    • Work with DREAMS partners to ensure co-enrolment of eligible AGYW into OVC or DREAMS program appropriately.
    • Support coordination of meetings as required.

    Key Qualifications/Skills/Competencies/Experience Required

    • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Project Management/Environmental health/public health/social Work/community development or related field from a recognized university.
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in implementation of OVC case management
    • Relatable experience working in health, social protection, education, and resilience/livelihood building integrated projects.
    • Strong interpersonal and public relation skills.
    • Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Familiarity with rural/urban working environment.
    • Strong coordination and community mobilization skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, writing and oral presentation skills.
