Job Summary:
The Regional HR Administrator will support and coordinate HR operations across assigned regions, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services in recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate HR records, supporting managers and employees, and ensuring alignment with company policies and local labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Support end-to-end HR processes across the region, including recruitment, onboarding, confirmation, and exits.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
Coordinate payroll inputs, benefits administration, and statutory compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Coordinate recruitment activities including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
Facilitate onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
Support hiring managers with recruitment documentation and processes.
Performance & Employee Relations
Support the performance management process, including appraisal cycles and documentation.
Assist in handling employee relations matters, disciplinary processes, and grievance management in line with company policy
Support employee engagement and wellness initiatives across the region.
Support managers in handling employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance concerns.
Ensure fair, consistent, and policy-aligned handling of employee relations issues across regions.
Provide guidance to employees and management on HR-related concerns.
Learning & Development
Coordinate training and development initiatives and track learning records.
Prepare HR reports and dashboards on headcount, turnover, recruitment, and performance.
Support audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.
Encourage a culture of continuous learning across all regions.
Track learning and development activities for employees in each region.
Work closely with managers to identify training needs, skill gaps, and development opportunities.
Employee Wellness & Engagement
Coordinate and support employee wellness initiatives across regions.
Promote programs that support employee well-being, engagement, and work-life balance.
Partner with managers to drive participation in wellness activities.
Compliance & Policy Management
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in each region of operation.
Implement, monitor, and continuously review HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and operational relevance.
Support the consistent application of company policies across all regions.
Keep management informed of changes in labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
Ensure HR policies, procedures, and employment contracts comply with local labor laws.
Culture, Strategy & Business Alignment
Promote and embed company culture and values across all regions.
Ensure compliance with cultural standards, policies, and expected behaviors.
Collaborate with managers to align HR initiatives with business and operational needs.
Provide HR advisory support to management to enable effective people management and decision-making.
Support the alignment of HR strategies with overall business objectives.
HRIS
Act as the regional HRIS custodian, ensuring accurate, consistent, and compliant employee data across all regions.
Collaborate with managers to optimize use of the HRIS for workforce planning, performance tracking, learning records, and reporting.
Ensure HRIS processes align with HR policies, labor law requirements, and business needs.
Support HRIS improvements, system transitions, and continuous process enhancements.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience in an HR administrative or generalist role, preferably in a regional or multi-country environment.
CHRP-K Holder and a member of IHRM
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in Kenya and East African Region
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
