Counties: Baringo, Garissa, Isiolo, Lamu , Elgeyo Marakwet, Mandera, Marsabit, Samburu, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir , West Pokot and Laikipia
Purpose of the Assignment
To support urgent, high-quality recruitment of Regional Business Managers and Value Chain Business Coaches from local residents within the target counties for ASAL Agribusiness Model implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a targeted, county-specific recruitment plan for the single assigned county, identifying the most effective local sourcing channels (community structures, CDDCs, FPOs, SACCOs, churches, mosques, youth/women groups, existing databases).
- Proactively identify and source suitable candidates through personal networks, community leaders, and grassroots structures within the assigned county only.
- Screen applications and CVs against agreed job criteria (experience, local knowledge, diversity targets).
- Conduct preliminary telephone or in-person interviews to assess fit, motivation, and competence.
- Perform reference checks on shortlisted candidates.
- Prepare a high-quality shortlist with detailed candidate profiles, interview notes, reference summaries, and clear recommendations.
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling for final interviews with the Selistar Management Services / CPHRM team.
- Prioritize diversity targets (women, youth, vulnerable and marginalized groups) throughout the process.
- Deliver all outputs within the agreed 10-day timeline.
Deliverables
- Detailed recruitment plan for the county
- Minimum 8 shortlisted candidates for Regional Business Manager and 30 Business Coaches
- Completed candidate profiles and reference check reports
- Final shortlist submitted to Selistar Management Services by end of Day 10
