    SAP Analyst

    Job Purpose Statement

    Provide support and analysis to the business by performing day-to-day hands-on activities such as analysis, design, configuration, testing, and training for SAP modules including FICO, MM, Ariba, and related systems. Engage with business users and owners in Finance and Procurement to gather requirements, translate them into SAP configurations, recommend best practices, and offer insights to optimize system functionalities for better business outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide Group Support for all SAP Functional support on Procurement  and Finance
    • Manage the Group’s SAP ERP (FI, MM, Ariba) Projects Coordination and Support, SIT, UAT and OAT testing & Support go-live activities in SAP ERP.
    • Provide speedy closure of the SAP FICO , MM and Ariba issues and problems resolutions as per NCBA SLA.
    • Provide SAP Functional (FICO, MM and Ariba) system improvements and error corrections in the
    • assigned SAP functional domains as per SAP industry best practices.
    • Ensure optimal /maximum availability of the FICO , MM , Ariba & optimise usage and promotion of the NCBA Group SAP best practices. Perform system optimization, plan, install, support, maintain, upgrade and change IT Systems to ensure that the service provided by these Systems is within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
    • Analyse SAP ERP User roles management, allocation and mapping to new/existing/changing users to Functional roles.
    • Provide Training & Capacity Building to Functional Business users and IT Technical Users whenever necessary. Support and troubleshoot end user training requirements, SAP access.
    • Responsible for data migration in functional area, interfacing with Centre of Authority and the requirements of SAP Data Services and oversee data cleansing, data extraction and data build.
    • Participate in projects and change control as directed by IT management and assist or execute special projects in liaison with Enterprise project management officers.
    • Responsible for implementing Group SAP Change Requests both functional and technical – towards improvement of business needs

    Job Specification

    Academic qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree holder in Information Technology or Business/Accounting related; from a recognized University (min – 2nd class upper or equivalent).
    • Support and  enhancement experience within SAP ECC6, Fiori and ERP.
    •  Knowledge of SAP FICO - Financial systems modules with an emphasis on Finance, General Ledger, Vendor Master, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Product Costing.
    • Knowledge of SAP Material Management modules with an emphasis on Procurement, SAP Sourcing and Inventory Management and Ariba 

    Professional training:

    • · Professional certification in SAP FICO or SAP MM and Ariba .

    Desired work experience:

    • · A minimum of 5 years working experience in technology function in relation to SAP ERP Support – MM, FICO, Ariba

    SAP Developer

    Job Purpose Statement

    The SAP developer –will ensure the efficient design, configuration, development, support and deployment of SAP environment required for business needs, functional reporting and information management. Work with business and SAP functional users to understand the data used to generate the businesses KPIs and metrics as well as the workflows used for their delivery. Continuously review the best technologies to deliver the solution and help drive adoption through systems development on SAP, technical implementations, communication and training to super users. The SAP developer is expected to provide technical expertise for system design, testing, implementation and support, being his/her primary focus during the design and development phases of projects and on user support.

    Key responsibilities

    Development 50%

    • Design/analysis, development, delivery and ongoing improvement of all SAP Functional process By Applying knowledge and experience, showing deep understanding of SAP development to effectively design and integrate new  service lifecycle artefacts.
    • Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project.
    • Develop code, document and execute unit tests, systems, integration and acceptance tests and testing tools for functions of high complexity and Transform business function requirements into technical program specs to code, test and  debug programs.

    • Perform performance tuning to improve performance over SAP multiple functions and Modules. Ensure integration system activities including monitoring the technical architecture (particularly scalability, availability and archiving) meet all SLA's

    • Facilitate design and development of changes in line with user requirements within the SAP environment
    • Participate in System Integration Testing to ensure configuration changes deliver to expectations and minimize business interruptions.
    • Development of an efficient and effective SAP system in line with the Business Strategy.
    • Provide and execute detailed Disaster Recovery plans for SAP MODULES and other SAP applications
    • Review and Approve Solution architecture. Ensure that all solutions developed and deployed are in line with the Enterprise Architecture standards.
    • Provide technical expert, ensuring quick turnaround in identifying application issues and providing timely solutions.

    Provide Group Support for SAP Functional 35%

    • Support on HCM ,SUCESSFACTORS, TRAVEL, MM , Ariba and FI-CO modules .
    • Support, maintain and audit existing SAP functional modules to agreed SLA

    Compliance 15%

    • Efficiency and Effectiveness of the business intelligence (systems, people, policy, controls and procedures) with regard to protection against exposure to and impact of risks associated with data loss, corruption and/or unauthorized access on the SAP systems.

    Job Specifications

    Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Related Field

    Professional Training

    • Strong knowledge and working experience in UI5 related programming like  ABAP ,JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JQuery, and Angular JS.
    • At least 3 – 5 years of recent experience as UI5 /Fiori developer / architect with deep knowledge of backend development / configuration (OData services, Annotations, ABAP, RFC/BAPI) preferably in S/4 HANA environment.
    • Should be able to perform end-to-end configuration of FIORI.
    • SAP Certification or Development experience in ABAP for HANA and relevant Functional areas e.g. MM, FICO, HCM, TRAVEL.
    • Knowledge in SAP HANA and SAP Success factors is added advantage.
    • Knowledge of using SAP BTP and cloud connector for integration is an added advantage.
    • ITIL Intermediate and other relevant professional qualifications in ICT field would be an added advantage.

    Senior Business Analyst

    Job Purpose Statement

    To drive the process improvement initiatives within the bank so as to ensure that optimum value is achieved and that it is in line with the bank’s strategic objectives. This includes the research, analysis, understanding and documentation of the business requirements for change initiatives whilst ensuring that all product development and process improvement initiatives are successfully implemented from a process perspective.

    This role shall have specific focus on the following business application areas; Cash Management and E-channels, Global Markets, Investment Banking and Brokerage

    Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)

    • Value creation through launching new products and services, systems enhancements, process and product reviews with owners to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of products or process and recommendation on way forward.
    • Ensure that all process improvement initiatives are being tracked and reported on a regular basis.
    • Manage and execute the Business Analysis effort during the entire project lifecycle. 
    • Lead and guide business units in the project Start-up and Initiation phase; strictly managing drawdowns, governance and documentation. 
    • Manage complex, high value (large scale) technology, compliance, regulatory and transformation projects while controlling all projects constraints – cost, timelines, risk, scope, resources and quality.
    • Lead project execution teams and work streams across a broad technical, financial and business disciplines in the East African region while ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
    • Lead business process reviews and support continuous improvement of bank systems, processes and people across all channels.
    • Lead the testing and user acceptance process to ensure solutions are successfully implemented and meet client/business requirements. 
    • Management of operational risks in the design and implementation of new and/or changes to business processes and systems
    • Build and maintain positive working relationships with business and technical teams; serve as resource for technical or business expertise and advice on strategic priorities and projects.
    • Support the integration of best practice into the bank’s process re-engineering methodologies and tools using best practice frameworks, mission directed work streams and six sigma to support innovation. 

    Job Specifications

    Academic:

    • University degree preferably in Business or Information Technology. Upper 2nd Class or equivalent.

    Professional:

    • Business Analysis Training (Certification is an added advantage)
    • PMP, Prince 2 Practitioner Certification
    • Lean and/or Six Sigma training (Certification is an added advantage)
    • Proficiency in office automation, banking technologies and project management tools i.e. MS Projects, Jira, Confluence, Click Up

    Desired work experience:

    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a business or process analyst with 3 years hands on experience managing complex technical projects.
