Job Purpose
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring complete accuracy in inventory records, leading regular stock reconciliations, and investigating variances to safeguard company assets and support financial integrity.
Job Description
- Maintain accurate and updated inventory records across all company warehouses.
- Perform routine physical-to-system stock reconciliations and prepare comprehensive inventory reports.
- Lead periodic physical stock takes across all warehouse locations in coordination with warehouse and audit teams.
- Promptly investigate and resolve stock variances, discrepancies, or unexplained usage trends.
- Analyze inventory aging to identify and report obsolete, non-moving, or slow-moving stock, proposing action plans and cost-saving measures.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal financial controls, audit standards, and inventory monitoring protocols.
- Collaborate closely with finance, audit, and warehouse personnel to continuously optimize inventory processes and warehouse personnel to continuously optimize inventory workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Professional Qualification: CPA (K) or ACCA qualification (fully qualified or final stage).
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in inventory accounting, stock control, or audit.
- Manufacturing experience is mandatory

Job Description
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Create and maintain production schedules and timelines for all manufacturing orders.
- Monitor project progress, identify delays, and apply corrective measures to ensure on-time production.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory departments to ensure materials and supplies are available when needed.
Resource & Team Coordination
- Allocate production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, in alignment with production demands.
- Coordinate assignments among production staff; ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
- Supervise and support production staff to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Quality Control & Assurance
- Monitor production output to ensure compliance with product specifications and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance to inspect materials, manage rejects, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Process Improvement & Cost Control
- Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Recommend and implement process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance cost efficiency.
- Monitor production costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Liaise with maintenance, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Communicate regularly with management regarding production performance, challenges, and corrective actions.
Safety, Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies in the production area.
- Maintain production records, inventory logs, and reports accurately.
- Support administrative tasks related to production coordination (e.g., report generation, documentation, work order management).
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management, safety standards, and inventory control.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in production coordination, operations, or related manufacturing roles.
