    Theatre Technician

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • The successful candidate will support the surgical team by ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted in a safe, sterile, and well-prepared environment, maintaining theatre equipment and supplies and also preparing patients and instruments pre and post surgeries.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Maintaining procedure room and operating theatre equipment to ensure a clean,  safe, and efficient environment for patients and staff.
    • Ensuring the operating room table and floor are sterilized and clearing operating room at the conclusion of each procedure.
    • Collecting and returning all necessary equipment required for procedures.
    • Sterilizing instruments and carrying out decontamination processes.
    • Assembling operating instruments and sets.
    • Wrapping items for sterilization, storing sterile sets and packs appropriately.
    • Issuing sterile sets and packs to operating room staff and maintaining accurate records.
    • Providing assistance to staff with the movement of patients within the operating theatre and promoting patient safety at all times.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Certificate in Theatre Technician course or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Minimum 1 year of working experience as a Theatre Technician in a reputable medical facility

    SKILLS

    • Strong understanding of Infection, Prevention and Control standards.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • High level of collaboration and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.
    • Effective time management and organizational skills.
    • Ethical practice and professional integrity

    Theatre Nurse

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • The successful candidate will play a vital role in our perioperative services by working closely with surgeons, anaesthesiologists, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide scrub, circulating, and recovery nursing support across a range of surgical specialties.
    • Prepare the operating theatre, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
    • Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards.
    • Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
    • Assist in emergency and elective surgeries.
    • Collaborate with the team to optimise theatre efficiency and patient outcomes.
    • Mentor junior staff and participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Diploma in Nursing/KRCHN
    • Postgraduate qualification in perioperative or theater nursing is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a theater environment
    • A valid practice license (NCK)
    • Active BLS & ACLS certification.
