For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-

• be a holder of an earned Master's degree of Law from University recognized in Kenya; 
• have Certified Public Secretary (CPS) and member of the institute of Certified Public Secretary of Kenya in good standing; 
• be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya; 
• have a proficiency in computer applications; 
• have twelve (12) years post admission experience, five (5) of which must have been at a relevant senior level in the public sector or a large organization; 
• have served in Scale 13 for at least three (3) years in legal services or any other relevant Administrative or Teaching Department; 
• a certificate in strategic leadership course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution; and have proven experience as a Corporation Secretary or in a similar governance role.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: 

• have Master's degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent from a recognized university; 

OR 

• have Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in relevant discipline for those m Engineering and Medical fields; 
• have Computer skills in relevant packages; 
• have served in the grade of Senior Technician I, Grade 11 (XI) or in a comparable and relevant position for at least tlu·ee (3) years; 
• be registered and licensed by the relevant professional body; and 
• have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

• have Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution; 

OR 

• have Higher National Diploma m relevant discipline from a recognized institution, for Medical and Engineering fields; 
• have Computer skills in relevant packages from a recognized institution; 
• have served in the grade of Technician, Grade 7/8 (VII/VIII) or in a comparable relevant position for at least three (3) years; 
• be registered and licensed by the relevant professional body; and 
• have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results .

For appointment to this grade, an officer must: 

• have Master's degree in the relevant field from a recognized institution; 

OR 

• have Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution m relevant discipline for those in 
• Engineering and Medical fields;

• have served in the grade of Senior Technician II, Grade 9/10 for at least three (3) years; 
• be registered and licensed by the relevant professional body; and 
• have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

• Have a doctorate degree from an accredited/recognized academic institution with specialty in islamic studies
• have a minimum of 12 research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two points from publications in conference proceedings
• Have evidence of evaluated effective teaching and or research
• Have evidence of recognition and registration by relevant regulatory body where applicable and
• Show evidence of membership/affiliation of the relevant professional body where applicable
