OVERALL JOB PURPOSE 

• The position is responsible for the overall management of the Medical health facility. It will involve seeing and examining patients, diagnosing and treating patients’ ailments at an Outpatient/Inpatient department in MOHI health centres or Clinics. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 

Strategic Management. 

• Support the development and implementation of MOHI’s strategic plan with a focus on health management.    
• Spearhead the development and periodic review of operational plans for effective implementation of the health facility.     
• Develop a systematic annual plan for the health centre.      
• Ensure prudent management and use resources allocated for health facility.    
• Build good working and profitable relationships between the clinic, the local authorities and the community. 

Patient Care and Management 

• Provide comprehensive and good quality clinical services to patients. 
• Interpret results for diagnosis. 
• Coordinate medical examination tests. 
• Undertake minor surgeries and administer drugs. 
• Create awareness on Health and Nutrition within the local community. 
• Support training by preparing training materials. 

Report Writing and Record Keeping 

• Keep complete and up to date patient records. 
• Prepare records and monthly and periodic reports. 

General Management and Administration 

• Ensure availability of required equipment 
• Ensure continuity in the supply of the consumables in the clinic 
• Ensure that smooth day to day running of the department 
• Manage the staff in the health facility 
• Facilitate capacity building activities and initiatives for the staff in the health facility

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE 

• The position is responsible for ensuring the physical well-being of all the children, pupils/students and staff in the school. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and implement effective clinical procedures for best care for all patients. 
• Identify and treat children and staff with various illnesses and dispense drugs as per prescription. 
• Provide advice to school Head Teachers, Head Cook and Social Workers on issues related to nutrition and diet, hygiene, cleanliness, proper sanitation and preventive cure  
• Support the organization in the budgeting and budget monitoring process for the activities of treatment and cure.  
• Participate in the writing of the annual work plan for the nursing unit in line with the strategic plan. 
• Manage the process of procurement, storage and use of medical drugs and supplies/equipment. 
• Manage the dispensary at MoHI schools/centers. 
• Refer serious/complicated cases to other health facilities. 
• Provide health education to the children, staff and local community. 
• Advice management on health issues affecting children. 
• Coordinate immunization and vaccination programs for children. 
• Carry out guidance and counseling to children as is necessary. 
• Provide reports are required.  
• Keep proper documentation and records on diagnostics, treatment, drug purchases and dispensation and other supplies. 
• Discuss and advice parents/guardians on the medical conditions of their child. 
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor. 

Academic and Professional Qualifications & Experience 

• Posses a diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution. 
• Kenya Community Registered Health Nurse 
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya. 
• Certificate in Counseling or Psychology desirable 
• Three (3) years relevant work experience more so in a school setting working with children

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE 

• The position is responsible for the processing and analysis of laboratory tests to enable correct detection, diagnosis and treatment of patients in all MOHI Health facilities. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. 

• Collection, preparation and management of samples and specimen including safe disposal. 
• Prepare solutions, reagents and stains in accordance with standard laboratory formulas and procedures. 
• Cleaning of laboratory apparatus and equipment. 
• Inventory and stock management. 
• Prepare the laboratory equipment and specimens for tests. 
• Undertake quality control measures on working reagents to ensure conformity with set norms and standards. 
• Prepare, store and ensure availability and optimum utilization of reagents. 
• Document all processes and results to ensure availability of supportive information and gives report on the same. 
• Implement all set stock control procedures to ensure accountability. 
• Maintain high standards in good laboratory practice, laboratory safety, and laboratory hygiene. 
• Process specimens for special techniques including viral load and CD4 counts. 
• Write, record and verify patient’s results. 
• Proper management of laboratory equipment by doing daily routine maintenance, calibration and quality control. 
• Maintain competence in Laboratory Information System that is crucial to the quality operations of the laboratory and patient care. 
• Operate and maintain sophisticated instruments and equipment used in the laboratory, is able to set up, calibrate, maintain, operate and shut down such instruments. 
• Actively participate in Quality Improvement Programs essential to ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely and meets clients’ needs. 

Academic and Professional Qualifications & Experience  

• Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences. 
• Valid licence by KMLTTB 
• Must be registered with the KMLTTB with a current valid practicing license. 
• A  certificate in Voluntary Counselling and Testing from a recognized institution 
• 3 years’ experience in haematology, biochemistry and microbiology.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE 

• The position is responsible for ensuring proper documentation of all health records for effective management of MoHI health centers. The position is also responsible for maintaining patient records and statistics and responding to requests for medical records. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Receiving, registering and booking appointment for patients in MOHI health facilities.  
• Storing and retrieving medical records and documents 
• Gathering patient information by collecting demographic information 
• Maintaining master patient index by completing the assigned portion of daily audit trail corrects and communicate problems according to established procedures. 
• Initiating a medical record by creating and processing the patient care record folder. 
• Maintaining record availability by processing charts into the department; using chart mark-off procedures; facilitating chart location activities. 
• Retrieving medical records by following chart-out procedures; documenting reasons charts cannot be retrieved for statistical and follow-up purposes. 
• Keeping health care providers informed by communicating availability or unavailability of the record. 
• Maintaining quality results by following Health Center standards. 
• Maintaining continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. 
• Maintaining patient confidence by keeping patient records information confidential. 
• Serving and protecting the Health Center by adhering to professional standards, MOHI policies and procedures. 
• Enhancing medical records and clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE 

• The Community Oral Health Officer in collaboration with the dental officers will provide treatment and rehabilitation of the tissue of oral cavity and face. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Examine patients’ teeth and mouth. 
• Assess dental condition and needs of patients using patient screening and monitoring procedures. 
• Analyze x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary including medical history review and dental charting. 
• Take, develop and mount radiographs as well as trace radiographs required for corrective treatment 
• Undertake general treatment and care for teeth and tissue problems using specified equipment and tools and established dental hygienist procedures. 
• Clean teeth using brushes, and polishers to remove plaque and stains ensuring that sterile conditions are maintained 
• Fill in cavities, rebuild broken teeth, replace missing teeth, and remove unnecessary or severely damaged teeth. 
• Treat and help to prevent gum disease. 
• Provide instruction on dental care and write prescriptions for patients 
• Make impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts 
• Document patient dental history and/or chief complaints and/or observations 
• Document lab procedures and ensure follow up on results. 
• Supervise staff and clinic processes 
• Recommend and ensure cost effective buying of equipment and supplies and maintain proper bookkeeping of the same. 
• Keep up-to-date with new developments within the profession 
• Maintaining patient dental records 
• Any other duties as may be assigned to you by your superiors from time to time. 

Academic and Professional Qualifications & Experience 

• Diploma in Community Oral Health 
• Registered as a Community Oral Health Officer with the regulatory body.
