    Branch Manager

    Job Purpose: The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing brand strategies for the specific product segment to build brand equity and drive revenue and increase market share.

     

    Responsibilities for the Brand Manager Job

     

    • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, develop and execute successful brand management strategies aligned to the overall organisational objectives.
    • Though the comprehensive understanding of the business strategy, evaluate existing and recommend new or revised ideas/concepts aimed at growing the business. Lead in the execution of the approved ideas/concepts.
    • Develop and coordinate new and revised product launch or re-launch plans to ensure successful the achievement of envisioned benefits.
    • Develop and execute marketing campaigns for the assigned market segment to enhance brand visibility and drive growth in sales.
    • Oversee the creation and management of sales and marketing collateral including brochures, advertisements, sales tools, mobile applications, websites, value-added services, and social media programs that generate leads and facilitate the selling process while being consistent with the branding strategy.
    • Support the head of department in managing the human capital in the section through day to day supervision, performance management, training needs assessment and overall staff motivation.

     

    Requirements for the Brand Manager Job

     

    • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related field.
    • Membership to a relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
    • A least five (5) years’ experience in marketing or branding in a similar organisation.
    • Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems.

     

    Competencies / Attributes

     

    • A creative mind with a drive for execution of ideas and concepts for the benefit of the organisation.
    • Developed project and event management skills.
    • Self-starter able to work well within the team environment.
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment.
    • Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally.
    • High level of integrity.

     

    Relationships and working contacts

     

    Internal – Commercial team, Corporate Affairs and Plant Operations.
    External – Clients, suppliers, distributors, Agencies.

     

    Work Environment: This is an office based role.

    Sales Manager

    Job Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for ensuring sales targets for the assigned territory are achieved effectively and efficiently, managing marketing activities within the territory and resolve as well as attend to customer queries and complaints.

     

    Responsibilities for the Sales Manager Job

     

    • Ensure the territory achieves given sales targets (Volume and Value) through hands on management of given accounts/ territory in line with the sales and distribution plans.
    • Supervise, motivate and develop the territory sales representatives assigned in their areas to ensure maximum returns for the business.
    • Regularly oversee the Territory Sales Representative visits to outlets to ensure that the 4A`s(Availability, Accessibility, Affordability and Activation) are being applied and address any skills gaps.
    • Work in collaboration with the distributors and the Territory Sales Representatives to ensure stockiest and retail outlets in assigned territory are fully serviced as per agreed SLA`s.
    • Oversee the execution of the merchandising and promotional activities as per approved plans in their assigned territory.
    • Create value adding marketing/ business relationships, within the territory clients by resolving customer concerns and feedback.
    • Collect information on market intelligence, analyze market competition within the territory and prepare reports on market trends, competitor to support decision making.
    • Ensure call compliance, strike rate targets and outlet expansion is exceeded in the given territory as per SFA targets.
    • Ensure adequate product listings and product visibility in outlets and monitoring brand trade performance through client call cycle schedules.
    • Assist any KWAL regional budgeting activity assigned and drawing up of budgets for market activity recommendation.

     

     Requirements for the Sales Manager Job

     

    • Bachelor degree in a business related field.
    • A Master’s Degree a relevant field will be an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 5 years in sales and distribution within the FMCG Industry.
    • Working knowledge in the respective area will be an added advantage.
    • Possession of a clean and valid driving license.
    • Practical experience in use of MS packages and ERP systems.

    • Highly developed stakeholder management skills.
    • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.

    Internal – Sales and distribution, finance, marketing and warehousing.
    External – Consumers, Drinks Venues, HORECA, Modern Trade, distributors, stockists.

     

    Work Environment: This is a field based role with minimal office duties.
