    Advertising Manager-Digital

    The Role:

    The Advertising Manager- Digital will report to the Advertising Director. The main purpose of the role will be to formulate and coordinate Digital advertising plans and implement them to ensure achievements of the revenue objectives for the Group, by providing Digital advertising solutions to our customers across the different NMG products.

    Key result areas will include:

    • Sell NMG premium audiences & content creation capabilities to advertisers as display ads, video pre-roll ads and digital/ video branded content solutions.
    • Take shared ownership of the digital/ video revenue targets for the assigned brands and markets, along with the Publishers sales teams.
    • Sell the Product of the respective title in the Digital space and take complete ownership of the revenue targets. Partner with the Publishers to grow the business beyond print to digital/ video advertising and content solutions.
    • Build relationships with the digital and content teams in key agency networks to sell in digital/ video advertising and content solutions for new clients.
    • Planning and coordinating advertising sales strategies, while keeping in mind the brand profiles and products, to meet the Group’s business objectives;
    • Growing revenue market shares across the sectors for all brands and products;
    • Negotiating annual advertising contracts with representatives of major advertising clients and companies;
    • Assisting the Business Managers and Business Executives in resolving clients issues/ complaints;
    • Provision of regular reports as required by senior management on sales performance, market intelligence and trends;
    • Reviewing debt status of the client’s account to determine credit worthiness and to recommend way forward;
    • Performance of the print products against competition through research data, with a view to increasing market shares.

    Qualifications, Experience & Skills required:

    • Bachelor’s degree with specialization in marketing or sales
    • Relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage
    • The Digital Sales Managers need to have 4-8 years of relevant experience in digital agencies, ad networks, digital media organizations or web portals, and a strong blend of hard and soft skills:
    • Experience in selling display, mobile, video and native ad solutions to advertisers and agencies.
    • Deep relationships with planners and buyers on the agency side and marketers on the client side.
    • Experience in working with clients in the high-end fashion, beauty, jewellery, watch, auto, breweries, technology, travel, and luxury sectors will be an added advantage.
    • Ideally, an understanding of premium content in the fashion, design, travel, luxury and lifestyle spaces.
    • Excellent communication, team-work and problem-solving skills.
