The Fundraiser provides assistance to the Director in identifying donor resources, raising funds and writing proposals and reports for long-term organizational sustainability.
She/he motivates and facilitates donors to maximize the funds they raise, inspires new donors to raise money while maintaining and developing relationships with existing donors.
She/he develops new and imaginative fundraising activities, raises awareness of the charity and its work at local and national levels, develops and coordinates web-based fundraising, increases funds by researching and targeting charitable trusts whose criteria match Centre’s aims and activities; develops and implements a strategy for individual and corporate donor recruitment and development; manages and updates databases to record donor contact and preference information; writes applications/proposals and mail-shots, using direct mailing to reach a wide range of potential and current donors; assists in designing templates, writing reposts, making movies; develops and coordinates web based blogs; makes risk analyses and balances time-cost ratios to focus effort on the most appropriate fundraising activities with the highest chance of success.
