Job description

PROFILE:

You hold a minimum of B.Sc / B.Eng / B.Tech in Engineering / Apllied Sciences (with a civil, mechanical or electrical background) with a Certificate in HSE from a recognised institution. Applicant with a higher qualification will have an advantage;

You have at least five years of experience in a similar position. Applicant with higher years of experience will have an advantage;
You are able to communicate effectively in English. Applicant with multilingual skill especially in Kiswahili will have an advantage;

You are above 25 years of age.

MISSION:

You manage HSE aspects for the company and ensure compliance with both international and national safety regulations as applicable in Kenya.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Ensure corporate compliance with both international and national Safety Regulations as applicable in Kenya;
• Advise on PPE equipment, procurement, distribution and usage;
• Train and re-train workers on HSE;
• Monitor workers compliance with HSE at work;
• Coordinate site activities in Mavoko, Nakuru, Iten / Tambach, and any other site;
• Prepare and Maintain Safety Records;
• Analyse Safety Records and advise workers, Project Team and Management as appropriate;
• Discipline erring personnel in line with labour regulations;
• Develop and implement safety policies to reduce accident-related costs;
• Perform site inspections to determine if there are any safety hazards;
• Conduct investigations when an accident occurs at workplace. Determine the cause of the accident and provide recommendations to prevent future accidents;
• Any other duty as may be assigned by superior office and or Management.
