    GMP Quality Manager - EEA

    Job Description

    • Ensure compliance of the CPO organization with GMP legal and regulatory requirements and the Novartis Quality Manual and Policies.
    • Ensure that all aspects of the handling, manufacturing and distribution of pharmaceutical products in the country comply with the requirements of the Novartis Quality Manual and Policies and meet all relevant cGMP regulatory and legislative requirements.
    • Ensure that a local Quality System and Standard Operating Procedures are in place for all GMP/GDP related activities and that compliance with cGMP/GDP regulations is maintained through training and internal audits.
    • Report monthly Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) related to GMP/GDP activities to CPO QA and monitor them and assure that gaps are addressed appropriately in order to mitigate risk.
    • Maintain current knowledge of local and international regulatory and legislative requirements and trends to ensure that technical support on all quality related matters is provided to the country.
    • Establish a good working relationship with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) and DRA departments.
    • Ensure that co-ordinated contact is maintained with the Regulatory Authorities, the local partners (suppliers, third parties, licensees, and distributors) and Global Quality Assurance.
    • Ensure that all drug products and Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP) are released to the market in accordance with the registered specifications and with local/international regulations.
    • Ensure that an effective Change Control process is in place.
    • Ensure quality oversight of third party and coordinate all required activities to guarantee that third party manufacture, (re-)packaging, (re-)labelling, storage and/or distribution of Novartis products is in compliance with Novartis Standards.
    • Establish good working relation with External Supply Organization (ESO) allowing to keep QA oversight on all partners (e.g. third party activities).
    • Ensure CPO readiness for all GMP/GDP regulatory inspections.
    • Manage external inspections, complaints, deviations, recalls, counterfeits and product tampering according to the Novartis Corporate Quality Manual and local written procedures. Support / participate in NEM cases as required and ensure relevant CAPAs have been completed/closed.
    • Together with Local Leadership Team members, ensure conduct of adequate training at the CPO for all GMP and GDP related activities by defining, planning and supporting training activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    Minimum 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a relevant field such as quality assurance, quality control, registration, production, distribution or a directly related area. .

    Job Description

    • To achieve agreed contact, coverage and frequency targets through face to face interactions,meetings and deliver agreed customer centric activities within operating budget.
    • Develops and applies understanding of customer organizations and networks and of diverse influences that affect customer decisions (e.g. peer relationships)
    • Executes call plans for customers, including medical experts from customer or academic communities; calls on the right person to deliver the right message with the right frequency.
    • Adapts and optimizes approach and communications style during sales calls, responding appropriately to customer needs.
    • Makes effective use of available technologies and channels to support sales calls.
    • To promote defined Novartis products according to campaign briefs and policies.
    • Ensures that Novartis products and supporting services are broadly understood and available to more patients and customers.
    • Uses expert knowledge of Novartis products and of a range of therapy areas to build professional customer relationships and to support sound clinical discussions.
    • Uses detailed knowledge of competitor products’ features and benefits during sales calls to improve sales of Novartis products.
    • Seek and obtain clinic/hospital formulary listing for Novartis products where appropriate
    • To develop thought-leaders and speakers, conduct promotional programs and represent and promote Novartis as a leader in the assigned therapeutic area.
    • To ensure outstanding personal and team knowledge, and understanding of Novartis priority products, technical information, product strategy, positioning, key messages and programs.
    • Effective administration of territory business including, maintenance of high quality record systems, daily communication with administrative systems and timely processing of territory business expenses.
    • Analyze and report on sales, monthly plans, call activity on a monthly basis
    • Effective communication with territory colleagues and relevant members of other teams, in order to understand, maximize and drive territory.
    • Works effectively with other Novartis stakeholders and with resources in Sales and across other functions (e.g. MSL, KAM) to achieve sales targets.
    • Provides Novartis stakeholders and other colleagues with insight and feedback gained from customer interactions.
    • Allocates resources effectively for sampling, programs and events, etc.
    • Works within Ethics and Compliance policies and ensures those around him/her do the same.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree educated in relevant discipline OR Life Science degree
    • 2 years’ experience in medical sales
    • Proven, successful field track record preferably in business to business environment
    • Knowledge of Pharma industry and its changing environment
    • Professional accomplishments that reflect achievement orientation, self-motivation, initiative, independence, and strong customer service orientation
