Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the Systems Developer will be working closely with functional business and consulting teams to perform day-to-day systems development and support operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements for ICT solutions
- Designing, development, testing and rollout of ICT business solutions
- Maintaining and enhancing existing business solutions and processes
- Development and implementation of required changes in accordance with set out change management process and procedures.
- Provide training, technical support and assistance to business users in core operational areas.
- Prepares and maintains technical program documentation including specifications, test conditions, test plans, and test data.
- Advising the business on ICT solutions and products, process improvements, technologies and general operational matters
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in information technology or related degree from a recognized university
- At least 2 years’ development experience
- Experience in Linux administration and applications
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Knowledge and proficiency in Web applications development and integration
- Development proficiency in Java, PHP, Json, Javascript, DotNet etc.
- Database design and development in MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase etc.
- Advanced SQL programming
- Certification in Software Development and ITIL will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle process
- Project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Reporting to the Business Systems Manager, the Systems Analyst will be responsible for the management and administration of all databases in our core business systems, designing and development of database applications and general systems administration tasks. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the core ERP and its related operations as well as advising management on business solutions trends and technologies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and Administration of all core database systems and applications to ensure availability, performance and security
- Management and Administration of the core ERP system and other integrated applications and processes
- Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve issues and malfunctions in core business systems and processes
- Supporting the core ERP and its related operations as well as advising management on business solutions trends and technologies.
- Prepare annual systems budgets and resources growth plans
- Rollout of ICT projects and business solutions, including: gathering and documenting business requirements, evaluation and identification of suitable business solutions, working with internal and external project teams during solution implementation, provision of post-go-live support
- Coordinates, executes and documents systems change requests for all core database and business systems
- Provide end user support as per ICT’s Service Level Agreement
- Create and maintain business process documentations for all core business systems
- Conducts user training and create training manuals
- Prepare appropriate reports to help in operations and decision-making
- Advises the business on process improvements, new technologies, innovations and products
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in information technology or related degree from a recognized university
- At least 3 years’ experience in a busy IT environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Certification in Linux, Database Administration, MCSA, ITIL
- Development experience in MSSQL, Sybase, and MySQL open source database
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision

- Creating digital first promotion ideas, activity calendar for the year and events in conjunction with digital team
