    Study Coordinator

    Department of Obsterics and Gynaecology

    PI: PROF. Zahida Qureshi

    Qualifications

    • Be a holder of KCSE or its equivalent.
      Have a diploma in KRN/RM or KRCHN or Higher.

    Experience

    • At least 2 year working experience in a busy maternity unit.
    • The applicant must be computer literate and have basic managerial skills and experience.
    • Applicant must have experience in research

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervision of field staff, ensuring that appropriate data is collected and uploaded, leadership of field activities.
    • Making weekly, monthly reports of project activities and expenses
    • Ensure proper administration of consent procedures and questionnaires to participants
    • Ordering of supplies and ensuring appropriate custody
    • Liaising with relevant offices of the Health and University of Nairobi to facilitate study administration and implementation.
    • Liaising with administrator with regards to study purchases and any other administrative issues.
    • Keeping the principal investigators updated on all administrative, research and financial activities

    Research Assistants

    Qualifications

    • Be a holder of KCSE or its equivalent.
    • Have a diploma in KRN/RM or KRCHN or Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Higher.

    Experience

    • At least 1 year working experience in an antenatal clinic.
    • Experience in clinical research will be an added advantage

    Position Duties and Responsibilities

    • Screen and enroll eligible women from antenatal clinics
    • Ensure proper administration of consent procedures and questionnaires to participants
    • Follow up participants until study exit
    • Perform UmbiflowTM on study participants
    • Perform other duties as directed by Principal Investigator
