In this dynamic hands-on role you are responsible for the team’s day to day operating activities such as the full management of the sub-departments Intake, Supply admin, Technical & Quality Control and Consumables. You are responsible for the cost control and monthly / annual financial management. You will report to the Director DFG Retail Division in the Netherlands for issues of policy, strategy and planning. You key responsibilities are:
Dutch Flower Group:
Knowledge centre for mainly Kenyan production;
intake on volume and quality, supply planning and admin, technical support;
coordinate supply and demand between growers and DFG group companies; manage sea freight; organize and participate in visits of group companies and their customers; look afters DFG’s interest in Kenya versus local authorities, sector stakeholders ao.
Growers/suppliers:
first point of contact with DFG; technical support.
Internal: manage the team and the day-to-day activities and goals on intake, quality control, supply admin, technical support and consumables; manage the daily processes with the freight forwarder Panalpina; realizing cost budget.
