Responsibilities for the Field Officer Job

• Manning a field office (hub) that is situated in Embu county and running all the administrative duties thereby
• Providing technical support on agricultural value chains to clients and in projects that are based in Embu
• county and the larger Central and Eastern region
• Reporting on progress in implementation of activities under portfolio
• Carrying out any other duties which may or may not be related to the job, as reasonably requested by the management
• Attending staff meetings and contributing to discussions
• Upholding the vision and values of our organization and striving to work towards our mission

Qualifications for the Field Officer Job

• Diploma in Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Extension, or any related fields
• At least 2 years worth of experience in a similar position, especially working with smallholder farmers
• Knowledge and experience of agricultural value chains in the larger Eastern region of Kenya
• Experience in sales and marketing is a key requirement
• Posses a valid motorcycle rider license, with sufficient experience in the same
