Fashion Design Assistant
- Job Type Full Time
- Qualification BA/BSc/HND
- Experience None
- Location Nairobi
- Job Field Art / Crafts / Languages
Responsibilities:
- Assist in initial research for collections (colorways, silhouettes, themes etc.)
- Help source fabrics and trimmings
- Follow up on pattern and sample development
- Assist with print development and special projects
- Develop technical flats and spec sheets and tech packs
- Help pack, ship, hang and care for garments
- Assist with quality control check and double checking inventory
- Help maintain production timeline
- Additional duties as needed
Requirements:
- Degree or certificate in Fashion Design or previous experience in the garment industry
- A good understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Good understanding of draping, pattern-making and construction
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Punctuality, reliability and enthusiasm
- Detail oriented
- Good at multitasking
- Organized and focused
- Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills
- Minimum commitment 2-3 days per week -Schedule is flexible
