Responsibilities for the Sales Assistant Job

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Maintain outstanding visual merchandising standards.
• Advice on production schedule to ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
• Recommend and display items.
• Welcome and greet customers.
• Manage point-of-sale processes.
• Actively involve in the receiving of new inputs.
• Keep up to date with product information.
• Accurately describe product features and benefits.
• Follow all companies policies and procedures.
• Processing payments.
• Assisting customers in order to help them find what they need.
• Providing customers with information on pricing and product availability.
• Handling customer complaints or handing customers on to management.

Requirements for the Sales Assistant Job

• Diploma in Sales and Marketing or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• 1 year experience in an institution.
• A certificate in Computer application.
