Responsibilities for the Plant Setter Job

• Perform engineering measurements
• Perform computations
• Plan to undertake a routine task
• Work with others in a manufacturing, engineering or related environment
• Interact with computing technology
• Assist in the delivery of on the job training
• Perform machine setting (routine)
• Perform machine setting (complex)
• Operate and monitor machine/process
• Perform advanced machine/process operation
• Interpret technical drawing
• Undertake manual handling
• Operate fixed /movable load shifting equipment
• Use comparison and basic measuring devices
• Measure components using coordinate measuring devices
• Work safely with industrial chemicals and materials
• Perform basic statistical quality control
• Set computer controlled machines/processes
• Perform inspection
• Write basic machining programs
• Program machines
• Use improvement processes in team environment

Requirements for the Plant Setter Job

• Diploma in either Mechatronics , Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• At least three (3) years experience in automated factory processing.
• A certificate in Computer application.
