Production Manager Job at Human Asset Consultants

The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for the daily planning, organisation, supervision and administration of activities on farm estates.

Roles for the Production Manager Job

• Manage production on a 5.5 HA site producing tomato seeds.
• Lead & motivate the production team and manage the cropping on the farm. Deliver seeds with the required quality.
• Manage standardized production procedures and work with the wider team including the seed production specialists and the pathologist.
• Ensure strict hygiene standards on the farm and proactively ensure sanitary discipline on site.

Production Manager Job Qualifications

• At least 10 years relevant proven and adequate horticultural experience
• Agronomic experience – Minimum of 5 years work experience in an agronomy related job
• Work experience in Africa will be an added advantage
• Farm management- previous experience in running a farm will be an added advantage
• People oriented leadership skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills.
• Minimum requirement of a Masters degree in the field of horticulture and knowledge of growing vegetables
• Proficiency English is a must. Proficiency in other languages is an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office is a must.
