Job Purpose: The job holder will provide services associated with preparation, storage and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.

Roles and Responsibilities;

• Dispensing of drugs to patients.
• Compute charges for medications dispensed and enter data.
• Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices and inform supervisors of stock needs and shortage.
• Establish and maintain patients’ profiles, list of medication etc.
• Maintain proper storage and security for drugs.
• Answer calls, respond to questions and requests.
• Pre and post pharmacy counseling.
• Responsible for timely monthly reports.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medication and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; removing outdated drugs.
• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocol
• Organize medications for dispense by reading medication orders and prescription preparing labels; calculating quantities, assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Perform related duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience:

• A Degree / Diploma A Pharmacy Technology from a recognized institution.
• At least two years in a busy Pharmacy
• Excellent knowledge of Pharmacy operations and procedures
• Ability to write and review SOP'S • Must be duly registered.
