    Assistant Director, Human Resource Management (Recruitment And Selection)

    An officer at this level will be responsible to the Head of Human Resource Management (Policy, Recruitment and Selection) for development and review of guidelines on recruitment and processing of promotions and recommendations on appointment of persons to hold offices in the County Public Service.

    a) Specific duties and responsibilities:

    i) Processing of indents and advertising.
    ii) Analyzing applications for the Board’s decision and direction.
    iii) Providing secretarial services to the selection committees.
    iv) Scheduling and inviting shortlisted candidates for interviews.
    v) Preparing selection committee reports for presentation to the Board for decision making.
    vi) Any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Human Resource Management (Policy, Recruitment and Selection).

    b) Requirements for appointment:

    i) Served in the grade of chief human resource management officer or in a comparable relevant position in the public service for a minimum period of 3 years.
    ii) A Degree in social science, such as government, sociology, economics, Public/ Business administration, Human resource/ Personnel management from a recognized university/ institution.
    iii) Master’s degree in human resource management or business administration
    (HR option).
    iv) Attended a senior management course of not less than four (4) weeks.
    v) Computer application skills
    vi) Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
    vii) Posses current statutory clearances; KRA, HELB, EACC and CID (certificate of good conduct).
