    Software Sales Executive

    Software Sales Executive Job Responsibilities

    • Developing and implementing a sales and marketing plan and strategies
    • Understanding customers’ diverse, specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet those needs
    • Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and all features of employers’ software products and services to be sold, and then documenting them;
    • Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls
    • Preparing and delivering elaborate customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
    • Marketing and promoting a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature and through attending industry events
    • Providing technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale
    • Advising customers and prospects on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts, such as managing sales, finances, education, health, or other specialist areas
    • Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
      Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote their purchase of additional software products, services and software upgrades
    • Handling software problems and faults and referring on to specialist technical colleagues
    • Liaising with the software support and software development teams on aspects of technical support, new features request, improvement of current features
    • Responding to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature
    • Managing your own diary in order to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals
    • Contributing to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
    • Following up on leads and ensuring that direct and immediate feedback is given effectively
    • Relationship management through offering customer service and efficient support
    • Advising the management as need arises

    Qualifications for the Software Sales Executive Job

    • Degree in IT/Software Engineering/Finance/Marketing or any related field
    • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position within a software company
    • Must have technical knowledge and awareness of industry software and hardware systems and peripherals
    • Should be able to develop successful sales and marketing plans individually
    • Must exhibit professional integrity, accountability, maturity, and strategic industry insight
    • Analytical skill sets, strong presentation skills, ability to productively interact at any level within a client organization
    • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task efficiently, and work independently or within a team
      Well-developed interpersonal skills and professional demeanour
    • Frequent travel will required for sales activities, sales follow ups, industry and partner events (40%-70% of the time)
