Duties for the Assistant Security Officer Job 

• General Security duties Beat/ Patrol;
• prevention and detection of crime; offenders;
• Preserving the scenes of crime, initial investigation in area of supervision;
• Investigating breaking, rape cases, fraud, burglaries and stealing;
• Ensuring that guard report on duty in time and allocating duties in assignment;
• Issue the guards with instructions/ briefs during parade;
• Ensuring that handing and taking over duties is carried out and signed by both incoming and outgoing guards;
• and Conveying information as communicated by the Assistant Security Officer who is the duty officer to all the guards;

Assistant Security Officer Job Requirements

• Served in the grade of security supervisor or in a comparable and relevant position in a security firm for at least five (5) years.
• Demonstrated outstanding administrative ability in controlling security guards.
• A Diploma in criminology or social order or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Job Specification for Serving Officers

For appointment to this grade an officer must have:-

• Served in the grade of security supervisor for at least three (3) years.
• A Diploma in criminology or social order or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
• No criminal record.
• Been confirmed in the service of Alupe University College.
