    Senior Hospital Planner I

    Job Purpose

    The Senior Hospital Planner I will be responsible to the Deputy Planning Manager for Planning for the overall development, documentation, administration and implementation
    of strategies in the Hospital.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Providing professional advice to the Hospital Management on all matters related to planning.
    • Co-ordinating all hospital projects, Performance Contracting activities & Carrying out of specific surveys as may be required in the Hospital.
    • Developing project proposals for funding.
    • Preparing Hospital monthly/annual reports and expenditure estimates and ensuring proper utilization of funds allocated to the Department.
    • Coordinating quality assurance activities in the Department.
    • Identifying and prioritizing policy issues within the Hospital.
    • Providing analysis, forecasts and trends on economic matters.
    • Assessing and reviewing the viability f key health sector indicators
    • Managing the design and development of tools to assist management in developing and interpreting policies and guide managers through policy and planning decisions.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Masters Degree in Economics/Statistics, Health Economics/Strategic Management from a recognized university.
    • Proven experience of not less three (3) years at the level of Senior Economist II/Senior Statistician II/Senior Hospital Planner II or equivalent position in a large
      organization.
    • A proficient working knowledge of MS office and other software e.g. SPSS, STATA.
    • Proven experience in Performance Management Reporting (Performance Contracting)
    • Experience in Working knowledge of the Balanced Scorecard, policy planning and analysis will be an added advantage.
