Senior Clinical Psychologist at Kenyatta National Hospital

Job Purpose

The Senior Clinical Psychologist will be responsible to the Head of Department (Mental Health) for the efficient and proper management of Mental Health services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving, assessing patients and offering interventions, counselling and other psychotherapies.
• Running group therapies
• Participating in the organization and running of continuous Medical Education.
• Collecting statistics and compile reports.
• Supervising counselling psychology students.
• Participating in and facilitate research.

Qualification and Experience

• Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized institution.
• Evidence of practical (supervised) attachment for a minimum period of three (3) months.
• Proof of training in specific intervention skills/therapies.
• Proven experience of not less three (3) years at the level of Clinical Psychologist I in a large health organization.
• Registration with a professional body.
• Certificate in computer operations from a recognized institution
