    Public Private Partnerships Specialist

    Responsibilities:

    ·     Identify and develop strategic partnerships and alliances with private and public sector actors, particularly county-level departments involved in economic development and       investment promotion and private sector investors, and other USAID implementers to achieve project objectives.

    ·     Serve as principal project liaison with private sector partners and stakeholders, particularly in facilitating investment ready clean energy projects to securing needed capital       through a variety of public and private sources.

    ·    Coordinate conversations, roundtables, and activities across a number of industry groups, business sectors, and organizations.

    ·    Provide thought leadership in support of alliances, including the development of new alliance modalities.

    ·    Provide timely and accurate reporting to USAID on all partnership project areas.

    ·    Maintain records and databases of business prospects and contacts.

    Key Qualifications:

    ·     Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; graduate degree preferred.

    ·     At least 7-10 years of private sector development experience in East Africa (Kenya experience is required), preferably across a wide range of business sectors including             financial services, energy, or agribusiness.

    ·     Demonstrated experience in understanding, brokering, and/or overseeing the development of high-value public-private alliances and partnerships.

    ·     Demonstrated network of contacts within the Kenya-based private sector across a wide range of business sectors.

    ·     Fluency in English required.

    ·     Must be authorized to work in Kenya.
