Boiler Operator Job Responsibilities

• Provide boiler operation and maintenance services that sustain reliable generation of quality steam.
• Boiler Operator Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operating the boiler safely as per OSHA requirements and optimally for reliable supply of steam
• Carrying out routine boiler maintenance to maintain highest efficiency and reliability
• Preparing the boilers for statutory inspections as per OSHA requirements
• Carrying out boiler and condenser water analysis and treatment
• Quality assessment and receiving of heavy fuel oil
• Maintaining good house keeping
• Any other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualifications for the Boiler Operator Job

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering- Plant or Production Options
• 5 Years’ Experience as Boiler Operator in dairy industry.
• Certification in boiler operations or Licensed by NITA
• Observe health and safety measures
• Demonstrate the ability to plan and prioritize workload in order to meet required deadlines and performance standards.
• Demonstrate the ability of being able to maintain and improve effective working practices, use of facilities and materials etc.
• Demonstrate a flexible attitude towards work and can respond to business priorities appropriately
• Effective communication skills, reporting and analyzing skills
