    Consultancy for School Parents Associations Training

    The identified consultants will provide targeted training to members of Parents Associations drawn from 89 KEEP target schools; 56 located in the Dadaab refugee camps and surrounding host communities and 33 in the Kakuma refugee camps and surrounding host communities. The training will support Parent Association members to effectively ensure inclusive and representative school governance and promotion of improved schools performance and promotion of girls’ education in their respective schools.

    Duly qualified individuals/consultants will be responsible for the following:

    • Development of Parent Association members training materials and modules
    • Training design and delivery
    • Trainees monitoring plan design and delivery
    • Reporting

    It is expected that the successful candidate will have:

    • Thorough understanding of the establishment and functions of the Parents Associations in schools as provided for by the relevant laws of Kenya.
    • Demonstrated experience working in primary and secondary schools in the targeted locations of Dadaab, Wajir South, Fafi and Turkana West Sub counties preferably training governance structures of schools in the region.
    • Familiarity of the local cultural dynamics in the targeted project locations and the ability to connect with the trainees for effective gender based content delivery and adoption.
    • Excellent report writing skills
    • A minimum bachelor’s degree in Education or the Social sciences.
