Job description
What you can expect
The Country Cluster Head is responsible for developing and implementing BASF’s strategic growth plan for East Africa, while being accountable for the overall performance of the companies in this region. Core tasks will include:
Establishing a customer-focused business environment, promoting entrepreneurship, striving for sales excellence.
Driving personal leadership of employees including talent managemement.
Playing a leading role in local customer relationship management (aligned with Business Units where applicable).
Guiding local opportunity scouting to drive initial sales & business development activities.
Ensuring active representation of BASF towards all relevant stakeholders in the Country Cluster.
Driving delivery against set targets / KPI’s.
Adherence to and compliance with all BASF guidelines & procedures as well as legal requirements in the countries of the Country Cluster.
What we expect
Relevant Master Degree qualification in business management, engineering or science.
At least 10 years industry experience, with 5 spent in a leadership position with P&L responsibility.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships at the highest levels of public and private sectors.
Strong business acumen and entrepreneurial drive.
Strong financial management experience.
Strong communication skills, fluent in English.
